## What it does

This skill serves as a reference manual for the Repowire mesh network. It teaches agents like Claude Code or OpenCode how to talk to each other without confusion. Instead of guessing, the model learns when to dispatch background requests with `ask` or send plain status updates with `notify_peer`.

The tracked request lifecycle is strictly MCP-based: without `mcp__repowire__*` tools, an agent cannot handle non-blocking messages properly. The CLI fallback is only useful for synchronous diagnostics, manual peer listing, and ad-hoc task closures.

The reference covers painful edge cases. A call to `ask` returns a correlation identifier instead of raw text, so waiting synchronously will fail. Every incoming task stays pending until confirmed by `ack`. The skill also details how to delegate work to an alternate backend for unbiased code review.
