## What it does

This skill converts plain text instructions or motion briefs into an `ANIMATION_CONFIG.md` file. It outputs typed TypeScript blocks covering spring physics parameters and interpolation boundaries.

It exclusively handles motion mathematics and frame progress formulas. The skill deliberately avoids generating JSX or scene layouts, so you apply these exported constants inside components separately.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ncklrs/startup-os-skills --skill remotion-animation -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/remotion-animation/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/remotion-animation/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ncklrs/startup-os-skills --skill remotion-animation -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/remotion-animation/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ncklrs/startup-os-skills --skill remotion-animation -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/remotion-animation/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install ncklrs/startup-os-skills remotion-animation
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/remotion-animation/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ncklrs/startup-os-skills --skill remotion-animation -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/ncklrs/startup-os-skills --path skills/remotion-animation
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/remotion-animation/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ncklrs/startup-os-skills --skill remotion-animation -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- define spring damping and stiffness values for video elements
- build input and output interpolation boundaries for transforms
- calculate frame stagger intervals across sequential items
- generate reusable easing curves and frame progress formulas

## Example prompts
- Define a smooth spring entrance for a logo scaling from 0.8 to 1.0 over 30 frames.
- Set up staggered word animations with a 5 frame delay between each item.
