## What it does

This skill turns an inactive email segment into a defined reactivation program. It sets the no-open or no-click window, lays out offer stages from a softer return message to an incentive and a last chance, then adds a step where people confirm their permission again. Each contact ends in one branch: re-permission or suppression.

The result includes transition conditions, timing, a stop rule, and a handoff summary for related email work. It uses the cohort criteria, available incentive, suppression policy, and ESP engagement exports when available; keyed APIs for Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, and Customer.io are optional. It does not design welcome, cart, or post-purchase flows, maintain the consent record, or calculate EQS. This is for the decaying tail of a list, not everyday lifecycle design.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill reactivation-specialist -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/reactivation-specialist/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/reactivation-specialist/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill reactivation-specialist -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/reactivation-specialist/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill reactivation-specialist -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/reactivation-specialist/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills reactivation-specialist
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/reactivation-specialist/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill reactivation-specialist -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path email/nurture/reactivation-specialist
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/reactivation-specialist/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

## When to use it
- define a no-engagement subscriber cohort
- build a staged win-back offer ladder
- capture renewed permission from re-engaged contacts
- set a terminal suppression branch
- hand reactivation rules to related email workflows

## Example prompts
- Build a win-back campaign for subscribers who have not opened within the defined window on my ESP.
- Design a re-permission sweep for the inactive cohort using the available incentive and suppression policy.
- Clean the inactive tail without bulk deletion: re-permission recoverable contacts and suppress the rest.

Owns none of the SEND-N sub-item notes: engagement-decay / sunset is email-sequence-designer''s and preference-center / frequency options is preference-frequency-manager''s — this skill references those notes, it does not re-emit them. Not for the general lifecycle flows (welcome/cart/post-purchase) — use email-sequence-designer; not for the preference-center / opt-down ladder — use preference-frequency-manager; not for the consent record itself — use consent-registry; not for computing EQS or the N1 veto — use email-quality-auditor. 流失召回/重新授权/沉默用户清理'

when_to_use: "Use when a defined cohort has stopped opening/clicking and the user wants a self-contained win-back and re-permission program before those subjects are suppressed: define the lapsed cohort by a no-engagement window, design a staged offer ladder (soft re-engagement → incentive → last-chance), add a re-consent / re-permission capture step so re-engaged subjects re-affirm opt-in, and set the sunset-confirm rule that either re-permissions or suppresses each subject. Activate when the problem is a decaying tail of the list and the goal is to recover or cleanly retire it — not to design the everyday lifecycle flows."
