## What it does

The skill covers non-interactive calls to Claude Coder CLI and brings the output back into your current session. Delegated prompts are written in English and follow a fixed shape: objective, context, constraints, expected output, validation. Model choice goes through `-m` (`qwen2.5-coder` is the default, `qwq` for heavier reasoning), and `-o` sets the output format to `text`, `json` or `stream-json`.

Before anything runs, the skill checks `qwen --version` and `qwen auth status`. If the CLI is missing or auth fails, execution stops — check that first, because delegation will not start otherwise. Permission level comes from `--approval-mode`: `plan` reads only, `default` asks before edits, `auto_edit` applies edits on its own, `yolo` skips confirmation entirely. For read-only analysis, `plan` is the sane pick.

Results come back in a fixed template: task summary, command, model, approval mode, findings, next actions. Code changes are not applied without your consent unless `yolo` was explicitly requested. A previous run can be picked up with `-c` or `-r` plus the session id.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --skill qwen-coder -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/qwen-coder/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --skill qwen-coder -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --skill qwen-coder -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit qwen-coder
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --skill qwen-coder -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --path plugins/developer-kit-tools/skills/qwen-coder
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit --skill qwen-coder -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/giuseppe-trisciuoglio/developer-kit/tree/HEAD/plugins/developer-kit-tools/skills/qwen-coder/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- get a second opinion on a tricky piece of code
- scan an auth module for vulnerabilities without touching files
- resume an earlier Claude session with a new prompt
- dump technical debt items as a JSON array
- compare refactoring options from two models

## Example prompts
- use Claude: analyze the auth module and suggest refactoring
- delegate to Claude — check this file for memory leaks
- continue with Claude: keep going with the refactoring from the last session

# Qwen Coder CLI Delegation

Delegate selected tasks from Claude Code to Qwen Coder CLI using non-interactive commands, explicit model selection, safe permission flags, and shareable outputs.

## Overview

This skill standardizes delegation to Qwen Coder CLI (`qwen`) for cases where Qwen's specific strengths may benefit the task. It covers:

- Non-interactive execution with `-p` / `--prompt`
- Model selection with `-m` / `--model`
- Approval control (`--approval-mode`)
- Session continuation with `-c` / `--continue` or `-r` / `--resume`
- Output format options (`text`, `json`, `stream-json`)

Use this skill only when delegation to Qwen Coder is explicitly requested or clearly beneficial.

## When to Use

Use this skill when:

- The user asks to delegate work to Qwen Coder CLI
- The user wants a second opinion from Qwen Coder on a task
- The user asks for Qwen Coder CLI output integrated into the current workflow
- The user wants to continue a previous Qwen Coder session

Trigger phrases:

- "use qwen"
- "use qwen coder"
- "delegate to qwen"
- "ask qwen"
- "second opinion from qwen"
- "qwen opinion"
- "continue with qwen"
- "qwen session"

## Prerequisites

Verify tool availability and authentication before delegation:

```bash
# CLI availability
qwen --version
# Authentication status
qwen auth status
```

If `qwen` is unavailable, inform the user and stop execution until Qwen Coder CLI is installed.
If authentication is invalid, provide authentication setup instructions and stop execution.

## Instructions

### 1) Confirm Delegation Scope

Before running Qwen Coder:

- Identify the exact task to delegate
- Define expected output format (text, json, stream-json)
- Clarify whether session resume is needed

If scope is ambiguous, ask for clarification first.

### 2) Formulate Prompt in English

All delegated prompts to Qwen Coder CLI must be in English.
