## What it does

The skill standardizes routine bookkeeping. The pipeline processes data entry, categorizes expenses, and prepares financial statements like P&L or balance sheets. It includes automation rules for recurring tasks, such as splitting Gusto payroll costs or routing Amazon orders to office supplies.

Under the hood, the skill operates through the `accounting-mcp` server using four tools: `qb_invoice`, `qb_expense`, `qb_customer`, and `qb_reports`. Without an active `accounting-mcp` server, the skill cannot execute any QuickBooks actions. Receipt matching applies a 0.95 threshold, assigning unresolved items to the default Ask Accountant category.
