# quality-gate

Checks a patent draft for missing sections, weak evidence and broken citations. Useful once the text exists and you need to spot gaps before filing.

## What it does

The skill walks a patent draft through a checklist of mandatory sections: title, technical field, background, summary, embodiments and claims. Miss one and it reports an error. Abstract and drawings description sit in a second tier — recommended, not required. A third tier holds informational notes, such as a suggestion about how many claims to write.

Under the hood it is a TypeScript class, `QualityChecker`, imported from `../skills/quality-gate.ts`. Two calls do the work: `check(content)` hands back the list of issues, `getScore(content)` returns a number. Scoring starts at 100. An error costs 20 points, a warning 5, an informational note 2 — so one absent claims section outweighs several small remarks.

The import path is relative, which means the skill expects to run inside the `oh-my-patent` repository; pulled out on its own, the code will not resolve. Worth installing if your patent drafts live in Markdown and you want a machine pass before a human reads them.
