## What it does

The skill gives agents rules for structuring PyQt6 code: keep model, view, and controller separate, and connect UI actions to application logic with signals and slots. It favors Qt layout managers over fixed widget coordinates, and application-level QSS for styling. It guides code changes rather than supplying a ready-made interface.

Long-running work belongs outside the main UI thread. The rules cover `QThread`, `QRunnable`, and `QThreadPool`, and also mention `qasync`. They apply to files under `gui` and names such as `*_ui.py`, `*_dialog.py`, and `*_window.py`. Blocking the main thread freezes the interface, so background execution matters. DPI-aware rendering and platform differences are covered too.
