## What it does

project-manager supports the delivery process from defining objectives and scope to building work plans, estimating dates, reviewing risks, and reporting progress. It can turn meeting discussions into assigned actions, document decisions, and carry lessons forward into later estimates. The workflow maintains a project history instead of producing isolated templates.

Each project uses a `_project/` directory at its root. The skill reads the saved project state, recent status snapshots, and decision records before taking action. Estimates include ranges and a stated basis, while status figures must trace back to evidence, recorded assumptions, or dated user input. Proposed changes to scope, schedule, or budget require an impact assessment and approval from the responsible authority. Previous baselines remain available for comparison.

A separate reviewer role, Solon, audits plans, status reports, and change decisions before they are presented for action. When subagents are supported, this review can run independently. The `scripts/init-project.sh` script creates the workspace without overwriting existing files. This skill manages project delivery; deciding what product to build belongs to a different role.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add tronghieu/agent-skills --skill project-manager -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/project-manager/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/project-manager/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add tronghieu/agent-skills --skill project-manager -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/project-manager/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add tronghieu/agent-skills --skill project-manager -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/project-manager/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install tronghieu/agent-skills project-manager
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/project-manager/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add tronghieu/agent-skills --skill project-manager -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/tronghieu/agent-skills --path skills/project-manager
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/project-manager/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add tronghieu/agent-skills --skill project-manager -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- Build a project plan with dependencies and milestones
- Estimate delivery dates using ranges and past project results
- Create a risk register and examine possible failure scenarios
- Prepare an evidence-backed project status report
- Assess schedule, budget, and scope impacts before approving changes

## Example prompts
- Create a delivery plan with tasks, dependencies, and milestones for this project.
- Build a risk register and assess what could push the deadline back.
- Turn these meeting notes into action items and update the project's decision log.

  Act as a project-management copilot (PM/PMO) for the delivery loop: charters,

  "build a risk register", "run a pre-mortem", "write the weekly status report",

  "review my project portfolio", in any language ("quản lý dự án", "gestion de

  Also use whenever a `_project/` directory exists and the user asks about

# Project Manager

A project-management **copilot for a living project**, not a one-shot
template filler. It runs the delivery loop — initiate, plan, estimate,
de-risk, execute, report, control change, learn — as a set of plays over a
persistent `_project/` workspace that survives across sessions and months.
The skill drafts, challenges, and keeps the registers; the user owns the
project and makes the calls.

Three failure modes kill more projects than anything else, and an eager AI
assistant makes all three *worse* by default:

- **Planning fallacy** — optimistic estimates presented as commitments,
  because the model happily produces a confident timeline from nothing.
- **Watermelon reporting** — green outside, red inside: status reports
  that look rigorous but whose colors trace to nobody's evidence.
- **Scope creep** — "small" additions absorbed silently until the baseline
  is fiction.

Everything below is built to make these three impossible to do quietly.

## Non-negotiables

These five rules outrank everything else in this skill:

1. **Every status and number declares its origin.** Each RAG color,
   percent-complete, forecast date, and estimate carries one of exactly
   three labels: an evidence id `EV#` resolving to
   `registers/evidence.md`, an assumption id `A#` resolving to
