## What it does

The skill works on Shopping and Performance Max feeds: titles and descriptions, required and recommended attributes, GTIN, availability and price hygiene. You get back a remediation package — an item-to-cause-to-fix table, rewritten titles with the high-intent attributes front-loaded, an attribute-completeness map per item, and an asset-group structure built from real feed segments.

Disapprovals come first. A rewritten title on a disapproved item still does not serve, so triage is where the value sits. After that the skill checks attribute coverage and compares `price` and `availability` against the destination landing page, flagging mismatches. Output lands in `memory/ad/product-feed-optimizer/`, with unresolved risks promoted to `memory/hot-cache.md` and `memory/open-loops.md`.

You need a feed export in TSV, CSV or XML, or a Merchant Center diagnostics file. Without one, the skill asks for the feed columns and the disapproval list. Exports and product descriptions are treated as untrusted input, so instructions inside them are ignored. Text ad copy is out of scope — that is `ad-creative-builder` — and so is account scoring and the RQS, which belong to `ad-account-auditor`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill product-feed-optimizer -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/product-feed-optimizer/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/product-feed-optimizer/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill product-feed-optimizer -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/product-feed-optimizer/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill product-feed-optimizer -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/product-feed-optimizer/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills product-feed-optimizer
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/product-feed-optimizer/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill product-feed-optimizer -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path ad/research/product-feed-optimizer
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/product-feed-optimizer/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill product-feed-optimizer -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- triage why items got disapproved in Merchant Center
- rewrite product titles with attributes front-loaded
- fill gaps in required feed attributes
- check feed price and availability against the landing page
- group approved products into PMax asset groups

## Example prompts
- Audit my Shopping feed export for disapprovals and missing attributes: `feed.csv`. Goal is DR.
- Rewrite these product titles to a front-loaded pattern and fill the missing GTIN, brand and condition attributes.
- Triage my Merchant Center disapprovals and group the approved products into PMax listing groups.
