## What it does

The skill structures tiers and discount ladders for product launches during the RAMP Assemble phase. It assigns features across named plans and aligns price points with message-house pillars. The tool also drafts deadline rationales for early-bird discounts. For mobile releases, it factors in platform constraints from App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

All proposed price claims and refund terms are recorded as candidates in `memory/events/claims.ndjson` using `registry-events.py`. This boundary is strict. The skill never writes live records directly to `decisions.md` or `memory/claims/`. Downstream, `offer-claims-registry` formalizes approved launch terms into canonical records.

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill pricing-packaging-planner -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/pricing-packaging-planner/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill pricing-packaging-planner -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

## When to use it
- structure named pricing tiers and assign features across plans
- set early-adopter launch pricing with a clear path to GA rates
- draft refund and guarantee policies for a release
- build a launch discount ladder with deadline rationales

## Example prompts
- Plan launch pricing for our developer tool. ICP: backend engineers. Current pricing: none. Launch goal: devtool.
- Design a 3-tier packaging with names for our B2B SaaS, detailing tier contents, prices, and launch discount deadlines.
