## What it does

This skill handles the PR planning phase of a product launch. It groups targets into three distinct tiers: Tier 1 exclusive candidates, Tier 2 vertical media, and Tier 3 communities and newsletters. For Tier 1 and Tier 2 contacts, it prepares tailored angles while anchoring all pitch milestones to the official launch date.

Under the hood, the skill reads release dates from launch-registry records, narrative structure from the message house, and verified facts from `claims-ledger.md`. Outlet discovery relies on the keyless GDELT connector `scripts/connectors/gdelt.py`. If a statement lacks proof, the skill flags it as `[needs source]` and submits it to `registry-events.py` rather than inventing details.

Scope boundaries are explicit. The tool produces the contact strategy, embargo schedule, and drafting outlines. It leaves press-kit packaging to `launch-asset-packager` and delegates actual outbound emailing to `outreach-manager`.

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill press-media-relations -a codex
```

## When to use it
- build a three-tier list of journalists and industry analysts
- schedule embargoed pitches against an authoritative launch date
- draft a launch press release without unverified claims or fake quotes
- structure an analyst briefing outline before the launch

## Example prompts
- Build a media and analyst list for launching CloudSync in fintech. Launch tier: T2. Date: from launch-registry.
- Draft the launch press release for CloudSync using the message house and approved claims.
- Plan an embargoed pitch sequence for the launch: who gets the exclusive feeler, who gets round one and two, and when.
