# presentation-builder

An AI coding skill that turns a request into an actual deck: investor, roadmap, QBR, launch, demo or workshop slides. Useful when you need editable slides, not prose.

## What it does

The skill picks one deck mode per run: `investor`, `roadmap-review`, `launch-gtm`, `architecture-demo`, `workshop-training`, `game-pitch` or `other`. It also settles the audience, the source material and where the last cleanup happens — an HTML viewer, PPTX, PDF, Google Slides or Figma Slides. The flow runs in steps: classify the request, lock the promise and the evidence, then build the slides.

Supporting reference docs cover modes and routing, artifact packets and last-mile handoffs, source patterns, and a review-and-export checklist. The skill advises starting from the smallest useful packet: `outline-brief`, `storyboard`, `review-ready-html`, `export-handoff` or `sync-packet`. Jumping straight to exported binaries is the wrong move when an outline or storyboard is the real next step.

It works best where `slides-grab` can run with Node.js 18+ and Chromium, since the workflow is HTML-first with browser review. Without that setup part of the route falls away. Requests that are really specs, tutorials, research papers or marketing planning get routed to `technical-writing`, `research-paper-writing` and `marketing-automation` instead.

## Requirements
- Works with: Figma, Google Workspace

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add akillness/jeo-skills --skill presentation-builder -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/presentation-builder/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add akillness/jeo-skills --skill presentation-builder -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add akillness/jeo-skills --skill presentation-builder -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install akillness/jeo-skills presentation-builder
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add akillness/jeo-skills --skill presentation-builder -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/akillness/jeo-skills --path .agent-skills/presentation-builder
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add akillness/jeo-skills --skill presentation-builder -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/akillness/jeo-skills/tree/HEAD/.agent-skills/presentation-builder/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build an investor deck with evidence on the slides
- get a QBR or roadmap review ready to present
- produce a demo deck walking through the architecture
- assemble slides for a workshop or training session
- hand off an approved deck as PPTX or PDF

## Example prompts
- Build an investor deck from the brief, start with outline-brief
- Make a roadmap review deck for our QBR, audience is leadership
- Put together an architecture demo deck, final cleanup in PPTX

# Presentation Builder

Use this skill when the deliverable is **a deck artifact people will review, present, or hand off as slides**, not just an outline or narrative document.

`presentation-builder` is the documentation/publishing-cluster anchor for:
- investor, fundraising, board, and executive decks
- roadmap, QBR, status, and decision-review decks
- launch, GTM, and sales-enablement decks
- architecture walkthroughs, demo decks, and technical presentations
- workshop, training, and keynote decks
- game pitch, publisher, and milestone-update decks

Read these support docs before choosing the workflow:
