## What it does

This skill runs a staged workflow instead of stamping a template. It asks for a small set of intake details: what the deck is for, who sees it, roughly how many pages, what material you already have, and the school, company or brand name. When your notes are thin, it writes a `content_report.md` first, with the central claim, the sections and a page breakdown.

Three short questions settle tone and direction, then each style direction gets real previews: a cover, a table of contents and one body page. Once you pick a direction, the skill reads the confirmed previews for visual traits worth keeping and produces `design_spec.md`, `slide_blueprint.md` and `spec_lock.md`. Generation pauses for your confirmation, and you can either take one image per slide or several candidates and choose. A review pass collects feedback per slide and reworks what you flag.

Text and shapes inside a slide are not separate PowerPoint objects, so edits mean regenerating the page. You need `OPENAI_API_KEY` set, since GPT Image 2 does the rendering; without it nothing generates. `PPT_OUTPUT_DIR` changes the output folder and `PPT_ASPECT_RATIO` sets the proportions.

npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill ppt-image-first-workflow -a claude-code
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ppt-image-first-workflow/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ppt-image-first-workflow/
### Codex
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill ppt-image-first-workflow -a codex
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ppt-image-first-workflow/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/
### Cursor
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill ppt-image-first-workflow -a cursor
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ppt-image-first-workflow/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/
### GitHub Copilot
1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install reason-machines/trending-skills ppt-image-first-workflow
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
## When to use it
- turn scattered notes into a finished deck
- compare visual directions before committing to one
- build a defense or product pitch presentation
- pin down visual rules so pages stay consistent
- collect per-slide feedback and regenerate those pages
## Example prompts
- Help me make a PPT for my thesis defense, about 20 slides, audience is the committee
- Turn this report into slides and show me style previews first
- I need a product pitch deck, start with the three style questions
