## What it does

The skill fires when you ask for a conference presentation, slides, an academic poster or promotion content. It covers three areas: slides, poster and promotion. For talks it gives timing targets — a 15-minute talk gets 10–15 slides, a 30-minute one 20–30, roughly 1–1.5 minutes per slide. The content outline runs title, motivation, method, key results, conclusion, Q&A slide.

The poster section works from sizes and layout. Portrait 24x36 inches or A0, landscape 36x24. Title bar on top, introduction left, method centre, results right, conclusion at the bottom with a QR code. Font sizes are in points: body 24–32pt, title 72–96pt, readable from 4–6 feet.

Promotion treats the accepted paper, supplementary material and verified links as the source of truth, and social posts as public context rather than scholarly evidence. Drafts follow a hook-to-link thread for Twitter/X, 3–5 paragraphs for LinkedIn, 800–1500 words for a blog post. There is an optional Xquik MCP path, used only when you ask for live X context, draft analysis or publishing. A write happens after explicit approval of the exact account, text and links, and never retries on its own. Skip Xquik and the other three parts still work.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --skill post-acceptance -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/post-acceptance/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --skill post-acceptance -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --skill post-acceptance -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar post-acceptance
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --skill post-acceptance -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --path skills/post-acceptance
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar --skill post-acceptance -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/Galaxy-Dawn/claude-scholar/tree/HEAD/skills/post-acceptance/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- fit a 15-minute talk into a slide count that holds the timing
- lay out an academic poster for A0
- draft a Twitter/X thread about an accepted paper
- check links and claims before promotion goes out
- build backup slides for audience questions

## Example prompts
- prepare a 20-minute conference talk from this paper
- design an A0 academic poster with a QR code to the paper
- draft a Twitter/X thread about the accepted work

# Post-Acceptance Conference Preparation

A post-acceptance conference preparation workflow that helps researchers efficiently complete presentations, posters, and promotional content.

## Core Features

### 1. Presentation Slide Creation

Guidance for creating conference presentation slides:

**Time Control**
- 15-minute talk: 10-15 slides
- 20-minute talk: 15-20 slides
- 30-minute talk: 20-30 slides
- Average 1-1.5 minutes per slide

**Content Structure**
- Title slide (1)
- Motivation/Problem (2-3)
- Method overview (3-5)
- Key results (3-5)
- Conclusion (1-2)
- Q&A/Thank you (1)

**Visual Design Principles**
- One key message per slide
- Use figures and diagrams over text
- Consistent color scheme and fonts
- Minimum font size: 24pt for body, 32pt for titles
- High-contrast colors for readability

**Presentation Tips**
- Practice timing with a stopwatch
- Prepare backup slides for anticipated questions
- Use animations sparingly and purposefully
- Include slide numbers for Q&A reference

### 2. Academic Poster Design

Guidance for creating conference posters:

**Standard Sizes**
- Portrait: 24x36 inches or A0 (841x1189mm)
- Landscape: 36x24 inches or A0 landscape
- Check conference requirements for specific size

**Layout Structure**
- Title bar (top): Title, authors, affiliations, logos
- Introduction (left): Problem statement, motivation
- Method (center): Key approach, architecture diagram
- Results (right): Main findings, tables, figures
- Conclusion (bottom): Summary, future work, QR code

**Design Guidelines**
- Readable from 4-6 feet distance
- Title font: 72-96pt
- Section headers: 36-48pt
- Body text: 24-32pt
- Use bullet points, not paragraphs
- Include QR code linking to paper/code

### 3. Promotion Content Creation

Guidance for creating promotional content after paper acceptance:

Treat the accepted paper, supplementary material, and verified project links
as the source of truth. Treat social posts as public context, not scholarly
evidence. Keep unverified claims and missing links visible in the draft.

**Twitter/X Thread**
- Thread structure: Hook -> Problem -> Method -> Key Result -> Link
```
