## What it does

This skill guides you through the entire authoring flow via conversation instead of static templates. The agent asks up to 5 adaptive questions. You can pick between three opening modes: a guided step-by-step interview, a direct context dump, or a rough topic outline. An entire session takes about 10-15 minutes.

During the exchange, the assistant categorizes your content into one of three skill types: `component`, `interactive`, or `workflow`. It then writes out the full document with all 7 non-negotiable sections, including input criteria and failure modes. It also enforces metadata limits, such as kebab-case names under 64 characters and descriptions within 200 characters.

This helper focuses strictly on discovery and shaping before code generation begins. If you already have a finalized structure and just need linting gates, reach for `skill-authoring-workflow` instead. The conversational route shines when dealing with messy workshop notes or half-formed frameworks.
