## What it does

This skill refreshes organic-engagement sections in the cards under `references/platforms/`. It records character limits, visible-fold cutoffs, hashtag practices, format and aspect details, link placement, disclosure labels, and algorithm emphases.

Each row keeps its value, source, last-verified date and review-by date. Official documentation and measurements receive a platform-documented label, while folklore stays tied to a named source. A card past its review-by date is flagged stale, so it should not guide drafting.

The skill reads the existing card pack and can fetch official material through `scripts/connectors/firecrawl.py` and `scripts/connectors/tavily.py`. For closed platforms, it can use user-provided exports or screenshots. It edits the single card pack in place and writes its profiling log and staleness report to `memory/social/platform-norm-profiler/`.

## Requirements
- Works with: LinkedIn

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill platform-norm-profiler -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/platform-norm-profiler/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill platform-norm-profiler -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill platform-norm-profiler -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills platform-norm-profiler
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill platform-norm-profiler -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path social/explore/platform-norm-profiler
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill platform-norm-profiler -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills/tree/HEAD/social/explore/platform-norm-profiler/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- record character limits and visible-fold cutoffs
- check hashtag, format and link-placement rules
- separate documented rules from sourced folklore
- flag cards that are past their review date

## Example prompts
- Build the organic-engagement section for the LinkedIn norm card and date every row.
- Run a staleness sweep and flag every platform card past its review-by date.
- Verify the LinkedIn first-comment link rule and update the card with a source and fresh verification date.
