## What it does

The skill covers the whole Data Mask operation: it configures a masking policy over PII fields, starts the job, polls it to a terminal state, reports which records were masked, and can abort a run that is still going. There are two workflows inside — mask and report, and cancel a run. You pick one from the verb in the request, and every step in the chosen workflow is required.

The trap is that Data Mask entities are not ordinary data-API objects. The `DataMaskPolicy` shell is reached through Tooling API or Metadata API, policy objects and fields only through Tooling API, while the job `DataMaskPolicyJobRun` and its detail rows read fine with plain SOQL. Starting and aborting go over REST: `POST /services/data/v67.0/platform/data-resilience/data-mask/policies/{policyId}/run` and `.../jobs/{jobRunId}/abort`. Run `sf sobject describe` against `DataMaskPolicy` and you get `NOT_FOUND` — retrying it is a dead end.

Data Mask is sandbox-only, so the run and abort endpoints return `403` on production. The skill therefore confirms the target org is a sandbox first, and grabs the instance URL plus a session token with `sf org display`. You need `python3` `>=3.10.0` and `sf` `>=2.0.0`, along with the `PermissionsManageDataMaskPolicies` and `PermissionsAccessDataMaskAndSeed` permissions.

# platform-datamask-run: Salesforce Data Mask End-to-End Operation

Use this skill to **operate** the Salesforce Data Mask feature on a **sandbox**: configure a
masking policy over PII fields, start a masking job, poll it to a terminal state, report which
records were masked, and abort a run that is still in progress.

Data Mask is **sandbox-only** — the run/abort REST endpoints return `403` on production (a runtime
sandbox guard). Confirm the target org is a sandbox before starting.

## When This Skill Owns the Task
