## What it does

The skill walks you through a ten-question interview: sub-discipline (channel/alliance, affiliate, influencer/creator, referral), company type, go-to-market motion, the metric the role owns, reporting line, and whether you will publish a compensation range. Then it produces three artefacts in order — role scorecard, interview loop with a question bank, and a sourcing plan. You validate each one before it moves on.

The scorecard calibrates to company type: startup generalist, scale-up specialist, enterprise with per-hyperscaler headcount, or PLG where integrations come first. For channel/alliance hires the loop is spelled out: recruiter screen, hiring-manager rounds with cross-functional stakeholders, behavioral questions about partner conflict, a tooling round, and at senior levels a multi-department panel with a 30/60/90-day plan. Two judgment probes are named explicitly: the same-deal-in-December-as-January question, and the follow-up about a partner you de-prioritized.

Compensation gets no single blended figure. Public benchmarks for partnerships titles disagree by 2-3x on the same title, so the skill tells you to verify the range against live data instead. Where no documented loop exists for a sub-discipline, it says so rather than inventing one. Candidate-side prep is out of scope — that is the mirror skill `partnerships-career`, and this one routes you there.

```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/partnerships-hiring/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/partnerships-hiring/
### Codex
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/partnerships-skills --skill partnerships-hiring -a codex
```
## When to use it
- build a scorecard matched to your company type
- write a partnerships job posting
- design an interview loop with a question bank
- source candidates from the field's job board and communities
- set a compensation range without trusting disagreeing benchmarks
## Example prompts
- Help me hire my first partner manager at a startup, sub-discipline is channel/alliance
- Build a scorecard for an affiliate role at a PLG company
- Design an interview loop for an enterprise hire with per-hyperscaler headcount
Calibrates the scorecard to company type (startup generalist, scale-up specialist, enterprise per-hyperscaler headcount, PLG integrations-first), builds the channel-manager loop with its named judgment test and negotiation role-play, sources candidates from the field's job board and communities, and gates compensation on live verification since public benchmarks disagree by 2-3x. # Partnerships Hiring
Build the artefacts a hiring manager needs to recruit into a partnerships role with the rigor this field's own hiring evidence supports: a scorecard calibrated to company type, a structured interview loop with named case studies and judgment tests, a sourcing plan, and a compensation stance that doesn't pretend the public benchmarks agree.
Partnerships has no cross-company career ladder and no named posting-quality taxonomy the way sales or DevRel do - that absence is why this skill leans on company-type calibration and the field's few well-documented loop patterns instead of importing a framework that doesn't exist here.
Out of scope, hand off instead: coaching the candidate - mbfinotti/partnerships-skills@partnerships-career is the mirror image of this skill. If the user is job-hunting rather than hiring, say so in one line and route them there.
## Interview
Ask one question at a time, multiple-choice where possible. Skip anything already answered. Questions 8-10 re-rank the artefacts below - ask them before producing anything.
