A security audit skill: scans code for vulnerabilities, checks dependencies and secrets, then re-verifies after fixes.

## What it does

The `security` skill runs a dedicated audit pass over sensitive code. The `aegis` subagent scans and returns a report with CRITICAL, HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW findings: location as `file:line`, description, and remediation steps. Then the `arbiter` subagent confirms the fixes landed and nothing regressed.

Coverage splits into five groups: injection (SQL, command, XSS, LDAP), authentication and authorization, data protection, configuration, and dependencies. The report flags hardcoded credentials, weak cryptography, verbose error messages and outdated packages. OWASP Top 10 is checked from A01 through A10.

Scope comes from the argument: whole codebase, a folder, a single file, or dependencies only. Flags `--deps`, `--verify`, `--owasp` and `--secrets` narrow the run. One catch: the workflow depends on two subagents, so it won't do anything in a project where `aegis` and `arbiter` aren't set up. Worth checking that before you rely on it.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill security -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/security/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/security/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill security -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/security/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill security -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/security/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 security
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/security/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill security -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --path .claude/skills/security
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/security/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill security -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3/tree/HEAD/.claude/skills/security/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- find SQL injection in a payment handler
- strip hardcoded API keys out of the repo
- check outdated dependencies for known CVEs
- confirm fixes didn't introduce regressions
- walk the OWASP Top 10 checklist before release

## Example prompts
- /security
- /security authentication
- /security --deps

# /security - Security Audit Workflow

Dedicated security analysis for sensitive code.

## When to Use

- "Security audit"
- "Check for vulnerabilities"
- "Is this secure?"
- "Review authentication code"
- "Check for injection attacks"
- Before handling auth, payments, user data
- After adding security-sensitive features

## Workflow Overview

```
┌─────────┐    ┌───────────┐
│  aegis  │───▶│ arbiter  │
│         │    │           │
└─────────┘    └───────────┘
  Security       Verify
  audit          fixes
```

## Agent Sequence

| # | Agent | Role | Output |
|---|-------|------|--------|
| 1 | **aegis** | Comprehensive security scan | Vulnerability report |
| 2 | **arbiter** | Verify fixes, run security tests | Verification report |

## Why Dedicated Security?

The `/review` workflow focuses on code quality. Security needs:
- Specialized vulnerability patterns
- Dependency scanning
- Secret detection
- OWASP Top 10 checks
- Authentication/authorization review

## Execution

### Phase 1: Security Audit

```
Task(
  subagent_type="aegis",
  prompt="""
  Security audit: [SCOPE]
  Scan for:
  **Injection Attacks:**
  - SQL injection
  - Command injection
  - XSS (Cross-Site Scripting)
  - LDAP injection
  **Authentication/Authorization:**
  - Broken authentication
  - Session management issues
  - Privilege escalation
  - Insecure direct object references
  **Data Protection:**
  - Sensitive data exposure
  - Hardcoded secrets/credentials
  - Insecure cryptography
  - Missing encryption
  **Configuration:**
  - Security misconfigurations
  - Default credentials
  - Verbose error messages
  - Missing security headers
  **Dependencies:**
  - Known vulnerable packages
  - Outdated dependencies
  - Supply chain risks
  Output: Detailed report with:
  - Severity (CRITICAL/HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW)
  - Location (file:line)
  - Description
  - Remediation steps
  """
)
```

### Phase 2: Verification (After Fixes)

```
Task(
  subagent_type="arbiter",
  prompt="""
  Verify security fixes: [SCOPE]
  Run:
  - Security-focused tests
  - Dependency audit (npm audit, pip audit)
  - Re-check reported vulnerabilities
  - Verify fixes don't introduce regressions
  Output: Verification report
  """
)
```

## Security Scopes

### Full Codebase
```
User: /security
→ Scan entire codebase
```

### Specific Area
```
User: /security authentication
→ Focus on auth-related code
```

### Single File
```
User: /security src/api/auth.py
→ Deep dive on one file
```

### Dependencies Only
```
User: /security --deps
→ Only dependency vulnerabilities
```

## Example

```
User: /security the payment processing code
Claude: Starting /security audit for payment code...
Phase 1: Security audit...
[Spawns aegis]
