## What it does

The skill pulls recent public posts for a handle or brand through ScrapeCreators, keeps the raw metrics, and compares each post against the account's median instead of its mean. One viral hit would drag an average up and flatten everything else. Lift comes back as a multiple: 5x and above is a huge outlier, 2x to 5x strong, 1.5x to 2x mild.

Feed endpoints span TikTok, Instagram posts and reels, YouTube videos and Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Bluesky. Detail calls and transcripts go out only for the winners, so you are not paying to enrich posts nobody will read.

What you get back is a ranked table with source links, the patterns that repeat across the winners, hooks taken from captions or transcripts, and content ideas for your own account. Set `SCRAPECREATORS_API_KEY` before the first run. Two limits worth knowing: a sample under 10 posts gets flagged as low confidence, and pooling TikTok metrics with LinkedIn ones into a single baseline breaks the comparison.

## When to use it
- find competitor reels that beat their usual view count
- work out why a creator's best post took off
- build a swipe file of high-performing posts with links
- set a median baseline before judging any single post
- split short videos from carousels before comparing them

## Example prompts
- Find the YouTube Shorts on this channel that overperformed its median and tell me what the hooks have in common
- Build an outlier report for this Instagram account: median baseline, top posts, repeatable patterns
- Make a swipe file from this competitor's best X posts, with the exact hooks from the captions

# Outlier Post Finder

## Overview

Find social posts that beat an account's normal performance. The goal is not just to sort by views. The goal is to identify posts that performed unusually well for that creator or brand, then explain the repeatable patterns.

Use ScrapeCreators as the data layer. Pull recent public posts, normalize engagement metrics, calculate each account's baseline, and produce an outlier report with source URLs and practical takeaways.

## When to Use

Use this skill when the user asks to:

- find outlier posts, viral posts, top posts, best reels, best shorts, best TikToks, or best tweets
- analyze why a creator's content is working
- find competitor posts worth copying or learning from
- build a swipe file from high-performing social posts
- compare performance across a creator's recent posts

Do not use this for raw endpoint lookup only. Use `scrapecreators-api` for direct API routing.

## Data Sources

Prefer the platform-specific feed endpoint, then enrich individual posts only when needed.

| Platform | Feed endpoint | Detail/enrichment endpoint |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | `/v3/tiktok/profile/videos` | `/v2/tiktok/video`, `/v1/tiktok/video/transcript` |
| Instagram posts | `/v2/instagram/user/posts` | `/v1/instagram/post`, `/v2/instagram/media/transcript` |
| Instagram reels | `/v1/instagram/user/reels` | `/v1/instagram/post`, `/v2/instagram/media/transcript` |
| YouTube videos | `/v1/youtube/channel-videos` | `/v1/youtube/video`, `/v1/youtube/video/transcript` |
```
