## What it does

The skill covers 18 strategies, from covered calls and protective puts to iron condors, calendar and diagonal spreads. For each one it works out max profit and loss, Greek exposure and position size. For earnings plays it pulls the report date and compares implied volatility against historical.

Under the hood are Python scripts. You need Python 3.9+ with `numpy`, `scipy`, `requests`: `pip install numpy scipy requests`. Without an FMP API key the skill runs on manual inputs — the stock price and volatility you supply. With a key (`FMP_API_KEY` or the `--api-key` argument) it fetches the current price, historical volatility, dividends and earnings dates.

Pricing uses the European model. That undervalues American options, so check the number against your broker if early exercise matters to you. Implied volatility comes from your input; when it is missing, the skill computes 90-day historical volatility and suggests plugging in the market IV instead.

## When to use it
- price a call and a put with Black-Scholes
- work out iron condor P/L and breakeven points
- read delta and other Greeks on an open position
- compare a protective put against a covered call for hedging
- size a position before an earnings straddle

## Example prompts
- Price a call on AAPL: strike 185, 30 days, volatility 0.25, and show the Greeks
- Work out the P/L on a 180/185 bull call spread, 10 contracts
- Should I buy a straddle before NVDA earnings? Compare IV with historical volatility
