## What it does

The skill includes a working Black–Scholes calculator in `scripts/black_scholes.py`, along with Greek calculations and a basic implied-volatility solver. Run the demo with `python scripts/black_scholes.py --demo`. The README says the script relies on Python’s standard `math` module.

This is currently a stub. Binomial trees, Monte Carlo simulation, volatility-surface construction, and Deribit quote access are listed as future work, so the installed skill does not provide those features. It is for analysis only and does not offer trading recommendations.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill options-pricing -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/options-pricing/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/options-pricing/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill options-pricing -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/options-pricing/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill options-pricing -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/options-pricing/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills options-pricing
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/options-pricing/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill options-pricing -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --path skills/options-pricing
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/options-pricing/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill options-pricing -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- price a European option with Black–Scholes
- calculate Greeks for an options position
- estimate basic implied volatility
- run the demo in `scripts/black_scholes.py`

## Example prompts
- Calculate a European call price and its Greeks with Black–Scholes.
- Estimate basic implied volatility from these option parameters.
- Show me how to run the demo in `scripts/black_scholes.py`.

# Options Pricing

> **Status: STUB** — This skill provides a basic Black-Scholes implementation and an overview of planned capabilities. Full implementation is awaiting community contribution.

Options pricing is the quantitative foundation of derivatives trading. For crypto markets, options on BTC and ETH trade actively on Deribit, Lyra, and Aevo, while Solana options are emerging on platforms like Zeta Markets and PsyOptions. Understanding pricing models, implied volatility surfaces, and Greeks is essential for hedging, volatility trading, and constructing structured products.

This skill is informational and analytical only. It does not provide financial advice or trading recommendations.

## Current Capabilities

This stub includes a working Black-Scholes calculator with Greeks computation and a basic implied volatility solver. See `scripts/black_scholes.py` for the implementation.

```python
import math
from scipy.stats import norm
def black_scholes_call(S: float, K: float, T: float, r: float, sigma: float) -> float:
    """Price a European call option using Black-Scholes.
    Args:
        S: Current underlying price.
        K: Strike price.
        T: Time to expiration in years.
        r: Risk-free rate (annualized).
        sigma: Volatility (annualized).
    Returns:
        Theoretical call option price.
    """
    d1 = (math.log(S / K) + (r + 0.5 * sigma**2) * T) / (sigma * math.sqrt(T))
    d2 = d1 - sigma * math.sqrt(T)
    return S * norm.cdf(d1) - K * math.exp(-r * T) * norm.cdf(d2)
```

Run the demo:

```bash
python scripts/black_scholes.py --demo
```
