## What it does

This skill prepares meeting materials from Notion context. It starts with the goal, attendees, timing, and decisions needed, then searches for past notes, specs, OKRs, and action items through `Notion:notion-search` and fetches the relevant pages with `Notion:notion-fetch`.

It selects a format for status updates, decisions, planning, retrospectives, 1:1s, or brainstorming. Templates in `reference/` guide the agenda or pre-read created with `Notion:notion-create-pages`; the page can include source links, owners, timeboxes, risks, and expected outputs. Codex research adds facts, benchmarks, and risks, while `Notion:notion-update-page` keeps the page current.

Notion MCP must be connected before those calls can work. If a call fails, add it with `codex mcp add notion --url https://mcp.notion.com/mcp`, enable the remote MCP client with the `rmcp_client` setting or `codex --enable rmcp_client`, and log in with `codex mcp login notion`. Codex needs a restart after OAuth login.

## Requirements
- Works with: Notion

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/skills --skill notion-meeting-intelligence -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/skills --skill notion-meeting-intelligence -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/skills --skill notion-meeting-intelligence -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install openai/skills notion-meeting-intelligence
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/skills --skill notion-meeting-intelligence -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/openai/skills --path skills/.curated/notion-meeting-intelligence
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/skills --skill notion-meeting-intelligence -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/openai/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/.curated/notion-meeting-intelligence/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- pull relevant meeting context from Notion
- choose a format for a decision or planning session
- draft an agenda with owners and timeboxes
- turn source material into a meeting pre-read
- record follow-up tasks and next steps in Notion

## Example prompts
- Prepare a decision-meeting agenda from the relevant Notion pages, assign owners, and call out risks.
- Create a pre-read for this planning meeting, then add concise Codex research with source links.
- Update the Notion meeting page with the new plan and follow-up tasks.

# Meeting Intelligence

Prep meetings by pulling Notion context, tailoring agendas/pre-reads, and enriching with Codex research.

## Quick start
1) Confirm meeting goal, attendees, date/time, and decisions needed.
2) Gather context: search with `Notion:notion-search`, then fetch with `Notion:notion-fetch` (prior notes, specs, OKRs, decisions).
3) Pick the right template via `reference/template-selection-guide.md` (status, decision, planning, retro, 1:1, brainstorming).
4) Draft agenda/pre-read in Notion with `Notion:notion-create-pages`, embedding source links and owner/timeboxes.
5) Enrich with Codex research (industry insights, benchmarks, risks) and update the page with `Notion:notion-update-page` as plans change.

## Workflow
### 0) If any MCP call fails because Notion MCP is not connected, pause and set it up:
1. Add the Notion MCP:
   - `codex mcp add notion --url https://mcp.notion.com/mcp`
2. Enable remote MCP client:
   - Set `[features].rmcp_client = true` in `config.toml` **or** run `codex --enable rmcp_client`
3. Log in with OAuth:
   - `codex mcp login notion`

After successful login, the user will have to restart codex. You should finish your answer and tell them so when they try again they can continue with Step 1.

### 1) Gather inputs
- Ask for objective, desired outcomes/decisions, attendees, duration, date/time, and prior materials.
- Search Notion for relevant docs, past notes, specs, and action items (`Notion:notion-search`), then fetch key pages (`Notion:notion-fetch`).
- Capture blockers/risks and open questions up front.

### 2) Choose format
- Status/update → status template.
- Decision/approval → decision template.
- Planning (sprint/project) → planning template.
- Retro/feedback → retrospective template.
- 1:1 → one-on-one template.
- Ideation → brainstorming template.
- Use `reference/template-selection-guide.md` to confirm.

### 3) Build the agenda/pre-read
- Start from the chosen template in `reference/` and adapt sections (context, goals, agenda, owner/time per item, decisions, risks, prep asks).
- Include links to pulled Notion pages and any required pre-reading.
