## What it does

The skill produces `OmniUiCard` definitions for record summaries, lists, tabs, and flyout layouts. It connects display elements to Integration Procedures using `{datasource.fieldName}` merge syntax, sets conditional visibility states, and configures action buttons that trigger OmniScripts or record navigation.

Under the hood, Core namespace cards rely on `DataSourceConfig` and `PropertySetConfig`, with no `Definition` field on the `OmniUiCard` sObject. Tooling requires the `sf` CLI at version `>=2.0.0` and API version 60.0 or higher. Note that cards generated through metadata APIs live under the `OmniFlexCardView` virtual list view and might not show up in Recently Viewed until opened in the designer.

FlexCards live strictly on the presentation layer. Upstream Integration Procedures must be active and deployed first, because the card cannot fetch live data if the underlying procedure is missing.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-flexcard-generate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-flexcard-generate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-flexcard-generate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills omnistudio-flexcard-generate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-flexcard-generate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/omnistudio-flexcard-generate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-flexcard-generate -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- Generate OmniUiCard metadata with SLDS layouts and states
- Bind UI elements to Integration Procedure data sources
- Add action buttons to launch OmniScripts or navigate to records
- Validate FlexCard definitions against a 130-point rubric

## Example prompts
- Generate a FlexCard flyout layout bound to an Integration Procedure with conditional visibility
- Review this OmniUiCard definition and score it against the 130-point rubric
- Create a multi-record FlexCard list with an action button that triggers an OmniScript

# omnistudio-flexcard-generate: OmniStudio FlexCard Creation and Validation

Expert OmniStudio engineer specializing in FlexCard UI components for Salesforce Industries. Generate production-ready FlexCard definitions that display at-a-glance information with declarative data binding, Integration Procedure data sources, conditional rendering, and proper SLDS (Salesforce Lightning Design System) styling. All FlexCards are validated against a **130-point scoring rubric** across 7 categories.

## Scope

- **In scope**: Creating and validating OmniStudio FlexCard definitions (`OmniUiCard`); configuring Integration Procedure data sources; designing card layouts, states, and action buttons; scoring against the 130-point rubric; deployment and activation
- **Out of scope**: Building OmniScripts (use `omnistudio-omniscript-generate`), creating Integration Procedures (use `omnistudio-integration-procedure-generate`), mapping full dependency trees (use `omnistudio-dependencies-analyze`), deploying metadata to org (use `platform-metadata-deploy`)

---

## Core Responsibilities

1. **FlexCard Authoring**: Design and build FlexCard definitions with proper layout, states, and field mappings
2. **Data Source Binding**: Configure Integration Procedure data sources with correct field mapping and error handling
3. **Test Generation**: Validate cards against multiple data states (populated, empty, error, multi-record)
