# omnistudio-callable-apex-generate

A skill for generating and reviewing callable Apex in Salesforce Industries: it builds System.Callable classes, scores them against a 120-point rubric and migrates legacy VlocityOpenInterface code.

## What it does

The skill covers one narrow area: callable Apex for Salesforce Industries Common Core. It writes `System.Callable` classes for OmniStudio extension points, audits existing implementations and migrates `VlocityOpenInterface` and `VlocityOpenInterface2` over to `System.Callable`. Every result gets scored against a 120-point rubric.

Work runs in four phases. First the skill asks about the entry point (OmniScript, Integration Procedure, DataRaptor), action names, the input and output contract, data access needs and side effects, then scans for existing callable classes with `**/*Callable*.cls`. Next comes contract design: an explicit action list, an input schema and one response envelope with `success`, `data` and `errors`. In the implementation `call()` stays thin, type validation happens early, access is enforced through `with sharing` and `Security.stripInaccessible()`, and SOQL uses `WITH USER_MODE`.

Namespaces are the tricky part. `System.Callable` is a standard interface and needs no prefix, while `omnistudio.VlocityOpenInterface2` lives in the managed `omnistudio` package and must always be qualified. If the class is headed into a namespaced managed package, the skill asks for the prefix and applies it to custom class names. Minimum API version is 60.0. For plain Apex classes and triggers this is the wrong tool — reach for `platform-apex-generate` instead.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-callable-apex-generate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-callable-apex-generate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-callable-apex-generate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills omnistudio-callable-apex-generate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-callable-apex-generate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/omnistudio-callable-apex-generate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill omnistudio-callable-apex-generate -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- generate a `System.Callable` class for an OmniStudio extension point
- audit an existing callable implementation for correctness and risks
- migrate `VlocityOpenInterface` code to `System.Callable`
- define an input and output contract with one response envelope
- score callable Apex against the 120-point rubric

## Example prompts
- Create a callable Apex class for an Integration Procedure, action `getPolicyDetails`
- Review my `PolicyCallable.cls` and show what fails the rubric
- Migrate this `VlocityOpenInterface2` class to `System.Callable`, keep the method names
