# okx-agent-payments-protocol

An agent skill for HTTP 402 dead ends: it decodes what the server wants paid, shows a confirmation card, then pays through x402, MPP or a payment link.

## What it does

The skill fires when the agent hits an HTTP 402 or a `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header. It decodes the challenge and works out which schemes the server accepts, on which network and in which token, then renders one card with the amount and the recipient. Nothing gets signed until the user answers `yes`; after that come the wallet check, the signature and a replay of the request with `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE`.

It is a dispatcher first. Three shapes of response lead into it: a 402 with an `accepts` body or header, a 402 carrying `WWW-Authenticate: Payment` with `intent="charge"` or `"session"`, and a2a-pay, which is keyed on a `paymentId` and sends no 402 at all. Shared steps run once, then the matching reference is loaded. Channel work, vouchers and `settle` go through the `onchainos payment` CLI.

Every payment passes a confirmation gate, and no earlier reply counts as standing permission. That matters if your agent runs unattended: it will stop at that card, so plan the handoff before you wire this in. One more thing to check — an A2MCP call started with `agent a2mcp invoke` follows `../okx-ai/references/a2mcp/invoke.md` rather than the generic quote flow here.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --skill okx-agent-payments-protocol -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --skill okx-agent-payments-protocol -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --skill okx-agent-payments-protocol -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install okx/onchainos-skills okx-agent-payments-protocol
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --skill okx-agent-payments-protocol -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/okx/onchainos-skills --path skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --skill okx-agent-payments-protocol -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/okx/onchainos-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/okx-agent-payments-protocol/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- decode an HTTP 402 and see what the server is charging for
- pay a metered A2MCP endpoint from inside the agent
- open a payment channel, top it up and settle it
- issue a payment link and poll status by `paymentId`
- set up a recurring HTTP-payment subscription

## Example prompts
- The endpoint returned 402 — work out what it wants and show me the confirmation card
- Open a channel for this job, top it up and settle when the work is done
- Create a payment link and check the status by `paymentId`

# OKX Agent Payments Protocol (Dispatcher)

For an active marketplace A2MCP invocation started by `agent a2mcp invoke`,
follow `../okx-ai/references/a2mcp/invoke.md` through confirmation, payment,
and result presentation. Its bound `paymentId` does not start a new generic
quote or confirmation flow here.

> **READ FIRST — ZERO-TEXT-ON-TRIGGER + NEVER-SKIP-USER-GATES.**
>
> Between detecting a 402 (or any trigger word) and emitting the first user-facing card — the Step A3.5 recommendation card, or the Step A4 confirmation card — output **ZERO** user-visible text. No "received 402", no "triggered OKX Agent Payments Protocol", no "detected N schemes", no enumeration of schemes / networks / tokens / amounts, no "loading skill" — in any language (the same prohibition applies to the equivalent phrases in any other language). The skill-load tool call may run but emits no surrounding prose.
>
> Exactly **one** confirmation card runs per payment: A3.5's recommendation card (2+ candidates and user picks `yes`) OR A4's confirmation card (single candidate, OR user picked an alternative from A3.5's expanded list). Do NOT skip the applicable card under the pretext of "past user preference" / "streamlining" / "already confirmed once" — those preferences do not exist. Do NOT render both cards back-to-back with the same info — after `yes` on A3.5.5, go straight to Step A5. The next user-visible text after detection MUST be one of the two cards.
