## What it does

The skill holds the canonical record of claims and offers: exact wording, evidence source with date and scope, required disclosures, terms, usage locations, and a review or expiry date. Everything lands in the event stream at `memory/events/claims.ndjson`, while `claims-ledger.md` and `offers.md` are regenerated human-readable projections. Editing the NDJSON by hand is off the table.

It runs append-only. Any builder submits a `propose` event; only a host-capability principal can accept or reject through `owner-append`. A claim with no proof stays `none-on-file` in a proposal, because the assertion itself never turns into approval. If the host cannot supply a capability value, the proposal just stays pending — self-asserting owner authority does not count.

You need `python3` and the `AARON_SKILLS_ROOT` variable, which defaults to `CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT` or the git repository root. A standalone one-folder install can prepare proposals but cannot append events or grant canonical approval. Worth knowing before you expect the full loop without the shared repo layout.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill offer-claims-registry -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/offer-claims-registry/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/offer-claims-registry/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill offer-claims-registry -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/offer-claims-registry/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill offer-claims-registry -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/offer-claims-registry/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills offer-claims-registry
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/offer-claims-registry/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill offer-claims-registry -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path protocol/offer-claims-registry
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/offer-claims-registry/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill offer-claims-registry -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- record a claim's exact wording together with its evidence source
- show the live terms and expiry date for an offer
- work through pending proposals and accept only the well-evidenced ones
- track where an approved claim was actually used
- mark a claim as expired or withdrawn

## Example prompts
- register claim clm-014 with exact wording, evidence source and review date
- show the current terms and expiry for offer summer-2026
- review pending proposals and accept only those with sufficient evidence

# Offer & Claims Registry

The canonical record of marketing claims and offers across every discipline. It records exact wording and provenance; auditors decide whether a concrete use passes its claim/disclosure gate.

## Quick Start

```text
Register claim clm-014 with exact wording, evidence source/date, disclosure, and review date.
Show the current terms and expiry for offer summer-2026.
Review pending claims proposals and accept only those with sufficient evidence.
```

## Skill Contract

**Units:** one claim or offer aggregate ID. **Reads:** `memory/events/claims.ndjson`, its projection, source evidence, and rendered uses. **Writes:** claims events through `registry-events.py`; `claims-ledger.md` and `offers.md` are regenerated human views. **Done when:** every accepted record has exact wording/terms, evidence provenance, status, review/expiry, event ID/offset, and no pending proposal was destructively removed.
