# odoo-19

A skill that hands your agent 18 Odoo 19 guides: ORM, decorators, OWL, QWeb reports, migrations. Useful whenever it writes or reviews module code.

## What it does

The skill wires 18 reference files into your agent. Each one covers a single area: `ir.actions.*` and cron jobs, controllers and HTTP routes, XML/CSV data, `@api.depends` and `@api.constrains`, `models.Constraint`, `models.Index`, `__manifest__.py`, `mail.thread` mixins, ORM methods, migration scripts, OWL components, query performance, QWeb reports, access rules, tests, transactions, translations and XML views.

\`SKILL.md` is the index. It holds a table of topic, file name and when to open it, so the agent pulls one guide per task instead of the whole pack. Before writing code it points you at `references/api-highlights.md` and its review checks — the crossed-out items are what not to use in Odoo 19. The guides come from reading the Odoo 19 source: `odoo/orm/models.py`, `odoo/orm/fields.py`, `odoo/http.py` and other core files.

The conventions section says Odoo 19 runtime behaviour and the style of existing stable addons win over general rules, and that diffs should stay narrow. It also mentions a companion skill, `odoo-workflow`, to install alongside and run before coding so the agent traces the real source and pins down a definition of done. Skip it and that tracing is on you.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19 -a claude-code
```
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19.0 -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/odoo-19.0/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19.0 -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19.0 -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install unclecatvn/agent-skills odoo-19.0
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19.0 -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/unclecatvn/agent-skills --path skills/odoo-19.0
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add unclecatvn/agent-skills --skill odoo-19.0 -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/unclecatvn/agent-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/odoo-19.0/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- write a model with fields and constraints the Odoo 19 way
- work out how `models.Constraint` replaces `_sql_constraints`
- build a QWeb report with PDF output and barcodes
- kill N+1 queries and move code to batch operations
- write a `TransactionCase` test that asserts query counts

## Example prompts
- Create an Odoo 19 module with a Monetary field and a models.Constraint rule
- Rewrite this controller for Odoo 19 and check the auth types
- This report is slow — walk the performance guide and find the N+1
