# physical-ai-neural-reconstruction

A thin router for NVIDIA NuRec work: it points you to the right skill for converting a recording, training a reconstruction or rendering a USDZ.

## What it does

The skill renders nothing on its own. It reads the request for keywords like `nurec`, `NRE`, `USDZ`, `NCore V4`, `sensorsim`, `carline adaptation` and `serve-grpc`, then names the matching sibling skill from `NVIDIA/nurec-skills`: `physical-ai-datasets`, `ncore`, `nre`, `asset-harvester` or `nurec-fixer`. It also helps locate, clone or refresh the canonical checkout and order multi-step work — data, conversion, training, rendering, frame cleanup.

The router itself needs only `git`. Everything else belongs to the sibling skills: Linux x86_64, an NVIDIA GPU from Ampere up with CUDA 12.8 and at least 24 GB of VRAM, Docker plus the NVIDIA Container Toolkit, an NGC API key, a Hugging Face token with the gated licenses accepted, and Python 3.10+. Simulator integration over `serve-grpc` calls for CARLA, Isaac Sim 5.1 or AlpaSim. Check the environment with a sibling's `scripts/validate_setup.py` rather than by hand.

The boundaries are strict. SimReady packaging of CAD and meshes goes to `omniverse-cad-to-simready`, general USD performance tuning to `omniverse-usd-performance-tuning`, and AKS, OSMO or NIM Operator infrastructure to `physical-ai-infrastructure-setup-and-resilient-scaling`. Ask the router about those and you get a detour.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill physical-ai-neural-reconstruction -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill physical-ai-neural-reconstruction -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill physical-ai-neural-reconstruction -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install NVIDIA/skills physical-ai-neural-reconstruction
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill physical-ai-neural-reconstruction -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/NVIDIA/skills --path skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill physical-ai-neural-reconstruction -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/NVIDIA/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/physical-ai-neural-reconstruction/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- work out which NuRec skill answers a given question
- clone or refresh the `nurec-skills` checkout
- order the steps from a sensor recording to a finished USDZ
- find a published NVIDIA dataset instead of training from scratch
- separate a NuRec task from SimReady or infrastructure setup

## Example prompts
- I want to render a USDZ along the original camera positions, where do I start
- which NuRec skill converts a LiDAR recording into NCore V4
- I need server-side rendering for CARLA, point me at the right skill
