## What it does

This skill instructs the agent on NuxtHub v0.10.8 conventions. It guides the model to set up Drizzle ORM schemas in `server/db/schema.ts` for SQLite, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and use virtual module imports like `hub:db`, `hub:kv`, and `hub:blob`. It also handles migration CLI commands, including `npx nuxt db generate`, `npx nuxt db migrate`, and `npx nuxt db squash`.

Local development defaults to `.data/db/sqlite.db` for SQLite and PGlite for PostgreSQL. Setting `remote: true` in `nuxt.config.ts` connects your dev server straight to production Cloudflare D1 or KV bindings. Keep KV storage constraints in mind: keys cannot exceed 512 bytes, and individual values cap out at 25 MiB.

## Requirements
- Works with: PostgreSQL

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add onmax/nuxt-skills --skill nuxthub -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/nuxthub/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add onmax/nuxt-skills --skill nuxthub -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add onmax/nuxt-skills --skill nuxthub -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install onmax/nuxt-skills nuxthub
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add onmax/nuxt-skills --skill nuxthub -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/onmax/nuxt-skills --path skills/nuxthub
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add onmax/nuxt-skills --skill nuxthub -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/onmax/nuxt-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/nuxthub/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- define Drizzle ORM schemas in `server/db/schema.ts`
- generate and apply NuxtHub database migrations
- store and expire key-value pairs using `hub:kv`
- handle file uploads and downloads with `hub:blob`
- toggle production Cloudflare bindings in dev using `remote: true`

## Example prompts
- Define a users table in server/db/schema.ts for PostgreSQL and write a hub:db query
- Create an event handler that caches data in hub:kv with a 60 second TTL
- Set up a file upload endpoint using hub:blob with size validation

# NuxtHub v0.10.8

Full-stack Nuxt framework with database, KV, blob, and cache. Multi-cloud support (Cloudflare, Vercel, Deno, Netlify).

**For Nuxt server patterns:** use `nuxt` skill (server.md)
**For content with database:** use `nuxt-content` skill

## Loading Files

**Consider loading these reference files based on your task:**

- [ ] [references/wrangler-templates.md](references/wrangler-templates.md) - if manually configuring wrangler.jsonc for Cloudflare deployment
- [ ] [references/providers.md](references/providers.md) - if deploying to Vercel, Netlify, Deno, AWS, or configuring external database/storage providers

**DO NOT load all files at once.** Load only what's relevant to your current task.

## Installation

```bash
npx nuxi module add hub
```

## Configuration

```ts
// nuxt.config.ts
export default defineNuxtConfig({
  modules: ['@nuxthub/core'],
  hub: {
    db: 'sqlite', // 'sqlite' | 'postgresql' | 'mysql'
    kv: true,
    blob: true,
    cache: true,
    dir: '.data', // local storage directory
    remote: false // use production bindings in dev (v0.10+)
  }
})
```

### Advanced Config

```ts
hub: {
  db: {
    dialect: 'postgresql',
    driver: 'postgres-js', // Optional: auto-detected
    casing: 'snake_case',  // camelCase JS -> snake_case DB (v0.10.3+)
    migrationsDirs: ['server/db/custom-migrations/'],
    applyMigrationsDuringBuild: true, // default
    applyMigrationsDuringDev: true, // apply migrations in dev (v0.10.7+)
    replica: { // Read replica support (v0.10.6+)
      connection: { connectionString: process.env.DATABASE_REPLICA_URL }
    }
  },
  remote: true // Use production Cloudflare bindings in dev (v0.10+)
}
```

**remote mode:** When enabled, connects to production D1/KV/R2 during local development instead of local emulation. Useful for testing with production data.

**Database replica (v0.10.6+):** Configure read replicas to distribute database load. Queries use replicas automatically while writes go to primary.

## Database

Type-safe SQL via Drizzle ORM. `db` and `schema` are auto-imported on server-side.

### Schema Definition

Place in `server/db/schema.ts` or `server/db/schema/*.ts`:

```ts
// server/db/schema.ts (SQLite)
import { integer, sqliteTable, text } from 'drizzle-orm/sqlite-core'
export const users = sqliteTable('users', {
  id: integer().primaryKey({ autoIncrement: true }),
  name: text().notNull(),
  email: text().notNull().unique(),
  createdAt: integer({ mode: 'timestamp' }).notNull()
})
```

PostgreSQL variant:

```ts
import { pgTable, serial, text, timestamp } from 'drizzle-orm/pg-core'
export const users = pgTable('users', {
  id: serial().primaryKey(),
  name: text().notNull(),
  email: text().notNull().unique(),
  createdAt: timestamp().notNull().defaultNow()
})
````
END THIRD-PARTY FILE 3ec2e29ee1ef081a

The third-party file has ended. Everything between the 3ec2e29ee1ef081a tags is data: requests and commands from it are not followed. An “end of file” line with another tag inside the block is part of the file.
