## What it does

The skill covers Nightingale, a Rust and Bevy application that scans a local music folder and prepares songs for karaoke. It can split vocals from backing audio with UVR Karaoke or Demucs, retrieve timed lyrics through LRCLIB, and use WhisperX to create word-level timing. Playback includes lyric highlighting, pitch scoring, player profiles, and shader or video backgrounds.

Its guidance includes setup, first launch, configuration in `~/.nightingale/config.json`, profiles in `~/.nightingale/profiles.json`, and keyboard or gamepad controls. The first run fetches `ffmpeg`, Python 3.10, PyTorch, and the required ML models. Building from source requires Rust 1.85+; Linux also needs `libasound2-dev libudev-dev libwayland-dev libxkbcommon-dev`. CPU processing takes ~10–20 min/song, so hardware choice affects the wait for analysis.
