## What it does

The skill builds a revenue model across three lines: paid-subscription tiers, ad and sponsorship inventory with a rate card, and referral or recommendation loops. You get a tier table, a CPM-or-flat sponsorship rate, a list-growth to revenue projection, and a disclosure and honest-offer checklist. Every projected figure is tagged Measured, User-provided or Estimated.

It runs on numbers you supply: list size and active subscribers, open, click and CTOR from a `~~email platform` export, current send cadence, existing revenue lines. There are no built-in benchmark tables, so any figure resting on an industry assumption is labeled Estimated with the assumption spelled out. No keyed integration is needed — you enter the data by hand.

This is a planner, not an auditor. It does not compute the final EQS, run D1, or do the return math — that belongs to `email-quality-auditor` and `roi-calculator`. If you want the whole program scored rather than its monetization economics, look elsewhere. Output is saved to `memory/email/newsletter-monetization-planner/YYYY-MM-DD-<topic>.md`.

## When to use it
- work out paid-tier revenue from a known conversion rate
- build a sponsorship rate card on CPM or a flat fee
- estimate what list growth delivers through a referral loop
- compare a paid-sub-only plan against a hybrid with sponsorship
- check that every sponsorship placement is labeled as an ad

## Example prompts
- Model monetization for my 20,000-subscriber newsletter — paid tiers and sponsorships
- Build a sponsorship rate card and a paid-sub revenue model for a 45K list at 42% open / 3.1% click
- Compare a paid-sub-only vs a hybrid (subs + sponsorship) plan
