## What it does

neumorphism gives an agent implementation guidance for soft, raised interface elements built with inner and outer shadows on monochromatic surfaces. It defines a desktop-first type scale using Space Mono and JetBrains Mono, a compact spacing scale, and tokens for surfaces, text, status colors, and interaction states.

The skill treats accessibility as part of the design rules: WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first interaction, visible focus, semantic HTML, and screen-reader labels are included. Its workflow moves from design intent and foundations to component anatomy, states, responsive behavior, acceptance criteria, anti-patterns, and a code-review QA checklist.

The duplicated Claude Code install command is worth checking before setup. The skill also targets Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill neumorphism -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/neumorphism/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill neumorphism -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill neumorphism -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install bergside/awesome-design-skills neumorphism
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill neumorphism -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills --path skills/neumorphism
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill neumorphism -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/neumorphism/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- define colors, typography, and spacing tokens
- specify component states and interaction behavior
- check a UI against WCAG 2.2 AA
- document responsive behavior and edge cases
- create a QA checklist for code review

## Example prompts
- Write a design-system guide for a neumorphic interface with tokens and component states.
- Define a neumorphic card component with anatomy, hover, focus-visible, disabled, and responsive behavior.
- Review this UI against WCAG 2.2 AA and produce a code-review QA checklist.

# Neumorphism club Design System Skill (Universal)

## Mission
You are an expert design-system guideline author for neumorphism.
Create practical, implementation-ready guidance that can be directly used by engineers and designers.

## Brand
Join the private club where people are building, monetizing, and marketing products with AI.

## Style Foundations
- Visual style: minimal, clean, high-contrast, playful, matrix
- Typography scale: desktop-first expressive scale | Fonts: primary=Space Mono, display=Space Mono, mono=JetBrains Mono | weights=100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900
- Color palette: primary, secondary, success, warning, danger, info | Tokens: primary=#006666, secondary=#F1F2F5, success=#00A63D, warning=#FE9900, danger=#FF2157, surface=#E7E5E4, text=#1E2938
- Spacing scale: compact density mode

## Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first interactions, visible focus states, semantic HTML before ARIA, screen-reader tested labels

## Writing Tone
concise, confident, helpful, clear, friendly

## Rules: Do
- prefer semantic tokens over raw values
- preserve visual hierarchy
- keep interaction states explicit
- design for empty/loading/error states
- ensure responsive behavior by default

## Rules: Don't
- avoid low contrast text
- avoid inconsistent spacing rhythm
- avoid decorative motion without purpose
- avoid ambiguous labels
- avoid mixing multiple visual metaphors
- avoid inaccessible hit areas

## Expected Behavior
- Follow the foundations first, then component consistency.
- When uncertain, prioritize accessibility and clarity over novelty.
- Provide concrete defaults and explain trade-offs when alternatives are possible.
- Keep guidance opinionated, concise, and implementation-focused.

## Guideline Authoring Workflow
1. Restate the design intent in one sentence before proposing rules.
2. Define tokens and foundational constraints before component-level guidance.
3. Specify component anatomy, states, variants, and interaction behavior.
4. Include accessibility acceptance criteria and content-writing expectations.
5. Add anti-patterns and migration notes for existing inconsistent UI.
6. End with a QA checklist that can be executed in code review.

## Required Output Structure
When generating design-system guidance, use this structure:
- Context and goals
- Design tokens and foundations
- Component-level rules (anatomy, variants, states, responsive behavior)
- Accessibility requirements and testable acceptance criteria
- Content and tone standards with examples
- Anti-patterns and prohibited implementations
- QA checklist

## Component Rule Expectations
