## What it does

The analysis mode estimates migration complexity. Conversion moves a script to SuiteScript 2.1 and modernizes its JavaScript; explanation mode covers API mappings and migration concepts, while validation checks for leftover 1.0 patterns and conversion mistakes. Reference material covers API and object mappings, alternatives for unmapped APIs, entry point changes, and behavioral differences.

Run `/netsuite-suitescript-upgrade` with a mode and file path. Use `convert` to update a script and `validate` to inspect the result. Conversion supports `--dry-run` to preview changes without writing files and `--annotated` to include numbered notes. SuiteScript 2.1 is the target, including when the source uses 2.0 or 2.x.

## When to use it
- estimate the effort to migrate SuiteScript
- move a SuiteScript 1.0 file to version 2.1
- upgrade a SuiteScript 2.0 or 2.x script
- check a converted file for remaining 1.0 patterns
- look up a 2.1 replacement for an nlapi* or nlobj* API
