# neon-instagres

## What it does

The skill checks `.env` for `DATABASE_URL` before creating anything. If it finds one, it asks whether to keep that database or make another. For a new database, it runs `npx get-db --yes --ref 4eCjZDz` and adds `DATABASE_URL` for app queries, `DATABASE_URL_DIRECT` for migrations, and `PUBLIC_INSTAGRES_CLAIM_URL` for claiming the database in Neon.

You can pass `--seed schema.sql` to load an initial schema or set another environment file with `--env .env.local`. The instructions cover Drizzle, Prisma, TypeORM, Kysely, and raw SQL. Databases expire after 72 hours unless claimed with `npx get-db claim`; running `npx get-db` requires Node.js 18 or newer. Keep `PUBLIC_INSTAGRES_CLAIM_URL` private because it grants access to the database.
