## What it does

The skill maps positioning pillars from `canon.md` onto owned surfaces such as the homepage, pricing table, store listing, pitch deck, docs, and email. It produces a message-match specification defining the lead claim, supporting proof, pillar, and objection reframe each surface must carry. It never writes finished marketing copy itself.

Execution relies on structured project memory files. The tool inspects surface inventories in `memory/narrative/narrative-baseline-mapper/` and references verified claims in `memory/claims/claims-ledger.md`. When a spec references an unverified claim, the skill tags it `[needs source]` and emits a proposal via `registry-events.py`. It never validates claims independently.

Output plans land in `memory/narrative/narrative-cascade-planner/`. Any contradiction between a flagship surface and canonical pillars gets caught before publication. Without an existing `canon.md` in `memory/narrative-registry/`, the cascade cannot run.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill narrative-cascade-planner -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill narrative-cascade-planner -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill narrative-cascade-planner -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills narrative-cascade-planner
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill narrative-cascade-planner -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path narrative/land/narrative-cascade-planner
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/narrative-cascade-planner/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill narrative-cascade-planner -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- map brand narrative pillars across homepages, pricing, and sales decks
- generate handoff briefs for content writers and ad builders
- detect drift between canonical messaging and live web surfaces
- track unverified claims requiring source evidence

## Example prompts
- Plan the narrative cascade for [product] from our canon across homepage, pricing, and email.
- Write a per-surface message-match spec for our pricing page against the canon and flag any drift.
- Cut handoff briefs from the canon to content-writer and ad-creative-builder for the launch.
