## What it does

The skill hands the agent ready-made templates for a multi-tenant inference platform. Inside are Kubernetes manifests for vLLM across two model tiers: a premium one on `llama-3.1-70b` with tensor parallel 2, and an economy one on `llama-3.1-8b`. A ConfigMap carries per-tenant quotas: allowed models, requests and tokens per minute, concurrent requests, daily and monthly budget in dollars with an alert threshold.

For high-risk tenants the skill lays out a separate namespace with NetworkPolicy and ResourceQuota. Traffic is limited to `llm-gateway` on the way in and `llm-serving` port 8000 on the way out, with hard caps on CPU, memory, GPU and pod count. Request routing and rate limiting come as a FastAPI module backed by Redis.

You need a Kubernetes cluster with GPU node pools, a gateway such as LiteLLM, Envoy or Kong, Prometheus with Grafana, Redis and a cost attribution system. Redis is the sticking point: without it there is nowhere to keep per-tenant limit state, so you would be patching the gateway yourself.

## Requirements
- Works with: Kubernetes

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill multi-tenant-llm-hosting -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill multi-tenant-llm-hosting -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill multi-tenant-llm-hosting -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills multi-tenant-llm-hosting
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill multi-tenant-llm-hosting -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --path infrastructure/local-ai/multi-tenant-llm-hosting
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/multi-tenant-llm-hosting/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill multi-tenant-llm-hosting -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- split several teams across one shared GPU cluster without data overlap
- give each tenant its own request and token limits
- attribute spend per customer and warn before overrun
- keep free tenants from crowding premium models
- hand a tenant a dedicated namespace with network rules

## Example prompts
- show me how to split acme-corp and startup-xyz quotas in Kubernetes
- build a NetworkPolicy for a strictly isolated tenant
- write the request router with Redis-backed rate limiting

# Multi-Tenant LLM Hosting

Host many teams/customers on shared inference infrastructure without sacrificing security, performance, or cost governance.

## When to Use This Skill

- Building an internal LLM platform shared by multiple teams
- Hosting LLM inference for external customers with isolation requirements
- Implementing per-tenant quotas, billing, and rate limiting
- Designing request routing for multi-model, multi-tenant environments
- Preventing noisy-neighbor issues on shared GPU infrastructure

## Prerequisites

- Kubernetes cluster with GPU node pools
- API gateway or LLM gateway (LiteLLM, Envoy, Kong)
- Prometheus + Grafana for per-tenant observability
- Redis or equivalent for rate limiting state
- Billing system or cost attribution database

## Isolation Model

- Strong tenant identity on every request
- Per-tenant API keys and scoped model access
- Namespace or workload isolation for high-risk tenants
- Strict data retention and log partitioning controls

## vLLM Multi-Model Serving
