## What it does

The skill breaks a product requirement down into a technical interface spec. It ships an intent-mapping table: enterprise SaaS gets a dashboard with a dense data grid, a consumer app gets glassmorphism and cards, e-commerce gets minimalism and a product grid. From there the agent names atoms like buttons and input fields, sets a type scale, a spacing grid and a palette in Hex or HSL.

Before calling the script, the agent has to expand the request into a design specification: list the components, pick a layout pattern (F-pattern for content-heavy pages, Z-pattern for landing pages, a grid for dashboards) and set the tokens. Skeuomorphism is explicitly ruled out, otherwise you end up with a photo of a screen instead of a clean mockup. Generation runs through `scripts/generate-mockup.sh`, which hands the brief to the `core/media/generate-image.sh` primitive.

One hard constraint: no hands, physical phones or desks in frame, interface only. For small body copy the skill suggests placeholder text, while headers go to Flux so the letters stay legible. If you need a mockup for a mobile app or a web service rather than finished markup, this is the tool for the job.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --skill muapi-ui-design -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/muapi-ui-design/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --skill muapi-ui-design -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --skill muapi-ui-design -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills muapi-ui-design
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --skill muapi-ui-design -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --path .opencode/skills/muapi-ui-design
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills --skill muapi-ui-design -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/SamurAIGPT/Generative-Media-Skills/tree/HEAD/.opencode/skills/muapi-ui-design/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- turn a feature list into a screen spec
- pick a layout pattern for the product type
- set a type scale and spacing grid
- generate a wireframe with no props in frame
- check text contrast against WCAG

## Example prompts
- mock up a crypto wallet home screen with a price chart, dark theme, glassmorphism
- build a design system for a SaaS dashboard: grid, spacing tokens, palette
- generate a landing page wireframe on a Z-pattern, no hands or phones in frame

# 🎨 UI/UX Design Mockup Skill

**A specialized skill for AI Agents to architect high-fidelity digital interfaces.**
The UI/UX Design skill translates product requirements into technical design specifications for high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and design systems.

## Core Competencies

1. **Atomic Design Orchestration**: Structuring interfaces from Atoms (buttons) to Organisms (headers) for system consistency.
2. **Platform-Specific Layouts**: Designing for responsive breakpoints across Mobile (iOS/Android) and Web (SaaS/E-commerce).
3. **Design System Integration**: Specifying typography scales, spacing tokens, and color palettes (Hex/HSL).
4. **Heuristic Awareness**: Ensuring designs follow established usability principles (Nielsen's 10 Heuristics).

---

## 🏗️ Technical Specification

### 1. Intent Mapping Table

| Creative Intent | Style | Layout Pattern | Focus |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **Enterprise SaaS** | Modern/Clean | Dashboard/Grid | Data Density |
| **Consumer App** | Glassmorphism | F-Pattern / Cards | Visual Flair |
| **E-commerce** | Minimalist | Z-Pattern / Product Grid | Conversion |
| **Portfolio** | Brutalist | Asymmetric | Identity |
| **Utility/Tool** | Neomorphism | Control Panel | Tactile Feedback |

### 2. Design Tokens & Variables
- `Typography`: Geometric Sans (Inter/Roboto) for tech; Serif (Playfair) for luxury.
- `Spacing`: 8pt grid system for consistent rhythmic spacing.
- `Color`: High-contrast accessible palettes (WCAG 2.1 compliant).
- `Elevation`: Shadow-based depth vs. Flat design layers.

## 🧠 Prompt Optimization Protocol (Agent Instruction)

**Before calling the script, the Agent MUST expand the user's requirements into a Design Specification:**

1. **ATOMIC STRUCTURE**: Mention specific components (Atoms): *Glassmorphic buttons*, *Input fields with 4px radius*, *Iconic sidebars*.
2. **HIERARCHY**: Use layout patterns: *F-Pattern* for content-heavy sites, *Z-Pattern* for landing pages, *Grid-based Dashboards*.
3. **TYPOGRAPHY & TOKENS**: Injected design tokens: *Inter Sans-serif*, *8pt spacing system*, *WCAG high-contrast colors*.
4. **NO SKEUOMORPHISM**: Ensure the prompt enforces *Flat Design* or *Glassmorphism* to avoid "photograph-of-screen" results.
