## What it does

The skill covers four Teams app types: LLM-powered bots, message extensions, tabs and webhooks. It walks through the architecture, ships a full app manifest and shows a bot built on Teams SDK v2 with an action planner and a prompt manager.

Scaffold a project with `npx @microsoft/teams.cli new typescript my-agent --template echo`. Then configure the model in `src/app.ts` — Azure OpenAI via key and endpoint from environment variables, or OpenAI directly. Prompts sit in their own folder and load through `PromptManager`.

You need an Azure OpenAI or OpenAI key; without one the model will not initialise. The manifest references `{{APP_ID}}` and `{{BOT_ID}}`, so fill those in before packaging.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add alinaqi/maggy --skill ms-teams-apps -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ms-teams-apps/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add alinaqi/maggy --skill ms-teams-apps -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add alinaqi/maggy --skill ms-teams-apps -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install alinaqi/maggy ms-teams-apps
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add alinaqi/maggy --skill ms-teams-apps -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/alinaqi/maggy --path skills/ms-teams-apps
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add alinaqi/maggy --skill ms-teams-apps -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/alinaqi/maggy/tree/HEAD/skills/ms-teams-apps/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- scaffold a Teams bot that answers through an LLM
- write an app manifest with commands and permissions
- add a message extension that searches an external system
- wire up an action planner and prompt files for dialogue
- ship a tab or webhook inside Teams

## Example prompts
- scaffold a TypeScript Microsoft Teams bot with the echo template
- set up the Azure OpenAI connection in my Teams app
- write a Teams app manifest with an ask command
