## What it does

The skill walks the `.claude` tree and checks it piece by piece. On skills it counts `SKILL.md` files, confirms the frontmatter starts with `---`, and flags any `name` that does not match its directory. On agents it looks for a `name` field, verifies `model` is one of `opus`, `sonnet` or `haiku`, and catches references to subagents that do not exist.

Hooks get a different sweep: it counts `.ts` files in `.claude/hooks/src` against built `.mjs` files in `.claude/hooks/dist`, finds `.sh` wrappers missing the executable bit, then matches every hook command in `.claude/settings.json` to a file on disk. Memory comes last — `DATABASE_URL`, PostgreSQL reachability, the pgvector extension, the `archival_memory` table and Python packages `psycopg2`, `pgvector`, `sentence_transformers`, run through `uv`.

No arguments runs the full audit; `/mot skills`, `/mot agents`, `/mot hooks` and `/mot memory` narrow it to one category, while `--quick` keeps only the critical checks. The `--fix` flag sets `chmod +x` on wrappers, rebuilds hooks and creates the cache directories. Reports land in `.claude/cache/mot/report-{timestamp}.md` and the exit code separates hard failures from warnings. The memory section needs a real PostgreSQL with pgvector, so without a database that part will report a failure rather than a pass.

## Requirements
- Works with: PostgreSQL

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill mot -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/mot/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/mot/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill mot -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/mot/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill mot -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/mot/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 mot
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/mot/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill mot -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --path .claude/skills/mot
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/mot/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3 --skill mot -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3/tree/HEAD/.claude/skills/mot/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- Catch skills with broken frontmatter or a name that mismatches the folder
- Find subagents pointing at agents that do not exist
- Spot hook wrappers that never got `chmod +x`
- Confirm the memory system reaches PostgreSQL, pgvector and `archival_memory`
- Produce one health report before committing config changes

## Example prompts
- /mot
- /mot agents --quick
- /mot --fix

# MOT - System Health Check

Run comprehensive health checks on all Claude Code components.

## Usage

```
/mot              # Full audit (all categories)
/mot skills       # Just skills
/mot agents       # Just agents
/mot hooks        # Just hooks
/mot memory       # Just memory system
/mot --fix        # Auto-fix simple issues
/mot --quick      # P0 checks only (fast)
```

## Audit Process

### Phase 1: Skills Audit
```bash
# Count skills
echo "=== SKILLS ==="
SKILL_COUNT=$(find .claude/skills -name "SKILL.md" | wc -l | xargs)
echo "Found $SKILL_COUNT skill files"
# Check frontmatter parsing
FAIL=0
for skill in $(find .claude/skills -name "SKILL.md"); do
  if ! head -1 "$skill" | grep -q "^---$"; then
    echo "FAIL: No frontmatter: $skill"
    FAIL=$((FAIL+1))
  fi
done
echo "Frontmatter: $((SKILL_COUNT - FAIL)) pass, $FAIL fail"
# Check name matches directory
FAIL=0
for skill in $(find .claude/skills -name "SKILL.md"); do
  dir=$(basename $(dirname "$skill"))
  name=$(grep "^name:" "$skill" 2>/dev/null | head -1 | cut -d: -f2 | xargs)
  if [ -n "$name" ] && [ "$dir" != "$name" ]; then
    echo "FAIL: Name mismatch $dir vs $name"
    FAIL=$((FAIL+1))
  fi
done
echo "Name consistency: $((SKILL_COUNT - FAIL)) pass, $FAIL fail"
```

### Phase 2: Agents Audit
```bash
echo "=== AGENTS ==="
AGENT_COUNT=$(ls .claude/agents/*.md 2>/dev/null | wc -l | xargs)
echo "Found $AGENT_COUNT agent files"
# Check required fields
FAIL=0
for agent in .claude/agents/*.md; do
  [ -f "$agent" ] || continue
  # Check name field exists
  if ! grep -q "^name:" "$agent"; then
    echo "FAIL: Missing name: $agent"
    FAIL=$((FAIL+1))
    continue
  fi
  # Check model is valid
  model=$(grep "^model:" "$agent" | head -1 | cut -d: -f2 | xargs)
  case "$model" in
    opus|sonnet|haiku) ;;
    *) echo "FAIL: Invalid model '$model': $agent"; FAIL=$((FAIL+1)) ;;
  esac
done
echo "Agent validation: $((AGENT_COUNT - FAIL)) pass, $FAIL fail"
# Check for dangling references (agents that reference non-existent agents)
echo "Checking agent cross-references..."
for agent in .claude/agents/*.md; do
  [ -f "$agent" ] || continue
  # Find subagent_type references
  refs=$(grep -oE 'subagent_type[=:]["'\'']*([a-z-]+)' "$agent" 2>/dev/null | sed 's/.*["'\'']//' | sed 's/["'\'']$//')
  for ref in $refs; do
    if [ ! -f ".claude/agents/$ref.md" ]; then
      echo "WARN: $agent references non-existent agent: $ref"
    fi
  done
done
```

### Phase 3: Hooks Audit
```bash
