# momentum-planner

Builds the T+1→T+30 window after a launch: a moment calendar, changelog cadence and the next Tier-1 slot. Useful once the launch spike has faded.

## What it does

This skill fights the second-week cliff. It lays the T+1→T+30 window out as a calendar of launch moments: milestones, shipped-loop release moments, badge and award moments. Each one gets a date and a class, and content-distribution slots stay off that calendar.

Then comes announcement routing. A major update goes to every channel, a medium one to targeted channels, a minor one stays changelog-only. The skill also makes a relaunch legitimacy call on a given ship, and writes spike-to-owned handoff briefs. The next Tier-1 moment is picked with a spacing check against the last one, read from `calendar.md` through a launch-registry query.

You need a `~~web analytics` export showing the spike decay, plus your shipping roadmap or changelog backlog. With no calendar record, the next-moment candidate is marked NEEDS_INPUT. The skill never writes the calendar or dossiers itself — it submits a proposal through `registry-events.py` and launch-registry does the writing. Planning the next launch end to end is out of scope; that is launch-tier-planner's job.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill momentum-planner -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/momentum-planner/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/momentum-planner/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill momentum-planner -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/momentum-planner/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill momentum-planner -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/momentum-planner/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills momentum-planner
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/momentum-planner/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill momentum-planner -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path launch/prove/momentum-planner
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/momentum-planner/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill momentum-planner -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- hold attention after launch week once the spike drops off
- set a changelog and release-notes cadence as a growth channel
- decide whether a ship deserves an announcement or a relaunch
- turn one-off spike traffic into owned assets
- book the next Tier-1 moment without stacking it on the last

## Example prompts
- Plan the T+1→T+30 momentum window for [launch]. Launch-week spike: [traffic/signups]. Week 2 so far: [numbers].
- We ship weekly — set a changelog cadence for [product]. Which upcoming releases deserve an announcement?
- We launched [product] months ago and just shipped [feature]. Is that a legitimate relaunch moment, and when is the next Tier-1 slot?
