## What it does

This skill focuses on Notion App workflows. It guides work with typed triggers, steps that can safely run again, and idempotent effects. Before creating, editing, or troubleshooting workflow code, read `node_modules/@notionhq/apps/skills/workflow/SKILL.md`, resolving the path from the App project root.

If that file is absent, install the project dependencies. If it still cannot be found, update `@notionhq/apps` to a release that contains the skill. Workflow changes must wait until the SDK guidance is readable, so check that file before editing. The skill supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.

## Requirements
- Works with: Notion

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add makenotion/notion-cookbook --skill workflow -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/workflow/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/workflow/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add makenotion/notion-cookbook --skill workflow -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/workflow/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add makenotion/notion-cookbook --skill workflow -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/workflow/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install makenotion/notion-cookbook workflow
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/workflow/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add makenotion/notion-cookbook --skill workflow -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/makenotion/notion-cookbook --path apps/agents/skills/workflow
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/workflow/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add makenotion/notion-cookbook --skill workflow -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/makenotion/notion-cookbook/tree/HEAD/apps/agents/skills/workflow/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- create a Notion App workflow with typed triggers
- check whether workflow steps tolerate replay
- troubleshoot errors in workflow code
- locate SDK guidance before changing a workflow

## Example prompts
- Create a Notion App workflow with a typed trigger and an idempotent effect.
- Review whether these workflow steps are safe to run again.
- Troubleshoot this workflow and first check `node_modules/@notionhq/apps/skills/workflow/SKILL.md`.

# App workflows

Before creating, modifying, or troubleshooting workflow code, read
`node_modules/@notionhq/apps/skills/workflow/SKILL.md`.
Resolve this path relative to the App project root.
Follow the instructions in that file.

If the file is missing, install the project dependencies.
If it remains missing, update `@notionhq/apps` to a release that includes the skill.
Do not continue with workflow changes until you can read the SDK skill.
```
