## What it does

The skill walks through the Hyvä workflow: theme setup and build tooling, Alpine.js components, Tailwind CSS styling, GraphQL data fetching from Magento's API, and performance tuning. Sections cover component architecture, custom Tailwind configuration, GraphQL caching, and Core Web Vitals — LCP, FID and CLS.

There is a separate part on module integration: third-party extensions, custom modules, bridging legacy code to Hyvä patterns, and headless setups. Code organisation and review practices get their own section too.

Everything here assumes Hyvä. On a Luma storefront the Alpine.js and Tailwind advice has nowhere to land, so check which theme your frontend actually runs before installing.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --skill magento-hyva-specialist -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --skill magento-hyva-specialist -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --skill magento-hyva-specialist -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills magento-hyva-specialist
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --skill magento-hyva-specialist -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --path skills/magento-hyva-specialist
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/magento-hyva-specialist/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add maxnorm/magento2-agent-skills --skill magento-hyva-specialist -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- set up a Hyvä theme and its build pipeline
- build an Alpine.js component with reactive state
- convert existing Magento templates to Hyvä
- make a third-party extension work with Hyvä
- shrink the JS bundle and purge unused CSS

## Example prompts
- help me configure the Hyvä theme and build process for our store
- rewrite this Magento template for Hyvä with Alpine.js
- find what is hurting LCP on our category page in Hyvä
