## What it does

Everything the agent does with Lovart goes through a fixed command set: `chat`, `send`, `watch`, `result`, `status`, `confirm`, `config`, `projects`, `project-add`, `project-switch`, `project-rename`, `project-remove`, `threads`, `thread-remove`, `upload`, `upload-artifact`, `download`, `set-mode`, `query-mode`, `create-project`. The author's first rule is that no other route exists. Hand-built URLs, raw API calls and mid-run edits to `agent_skill.py` are out.

The workhorse is `chat`. It blocks until generation finishes, so the reply reaches the user with files attached. Video jobs and premium image variants come back as `pending_confirmation` with a credit estimate; nothing is charged until the user says yes and the agent runs `confirm` on that thread. Timeouts and aborts have their own handling: `result` pulls whatever partial output exists, `status` reports whether the job is still moving.

You need `python3` plus `LOVART_ACCESS_KEY` and `LOVART_SECRET_KEY` in the environment. Missing or wrong keys surface as `401`. The skill also names the other server responses: `402` for quota and billing refusals, `409` when the thread is busy with another task, `429` for rate limiting. A job can end as `done` with nothing generated, which usually means the model turned the prompt down; check `generation_succeeded` and `warning`, then either retry with another model such as `generate_image_midjourney` / `generate_image_nano_banana_pro` or shorten the prompt.
