## What it does

The skill adds Kun's reasoning guidelines and personal rules to your coding assistant. When invoked with `/kun`, the agent retrieves a public helper script called `pull-kun.mjs` and runs it with Node to sync the documentation without calling an LLM. Files go directly into `~/.cache/kun` or the directory specified in `$KUN_PULL_DIR`.

Synchronization stays lightweight thanks to `content/MANIFEST.json`. The script syncs foundational files like `ENTRY.md`, `TOOLS.md`, `OPINIONS.md`, and `VOICE.md`, pulling only new or updated items from the `content/` folder. It avoids dumping entire directories into context. You need Node available on your machine, and if the network request fails, execution halts immediately instead of guessing file contents.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kunchenguid/kun --skill kun -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/kun/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/kun/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kunchenguid/kun --skill kun -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/kun/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kunchenguid/kun --skill kun -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/kun/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install kunchenguid/kun kun
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/kun/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kunchenguid/kun --skill kun -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/kunchenguid/kun --path skills/kun
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/kun/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kunchenguid/kun --skill kun -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/kunchenguid/kun/tree/HEAD/skills/kun/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- adopt Kun's problem-solving style during system design and reviews
- keep agent guidance files up to date using a local Node script
- reference tool guidelines documented inside TOOLS.md
- load external documentation files on demand without cluttering the prompt

## Example prompts
- /kun how would you approach this system design?
- /kun review this problem using your principles
