# kling

A skill that drives Kling for video generation: native 4K, multi-shot sequences and motion transfer from a reference clip. Useful when you need footage, not dialogue.

## What it does

The skill walks your agent through the CUTS framework: compose the shots, describe motion, lock identity with references, then scale to 4K. Multi-Shot stitches up to 6 connected cuts into one clip via AI Director. Motion Control moves a performance from a reference video onto another subject, and image-to-video animates a product still. Draft Mode is the cheap way to iterate; O3 is the top-quality render.

Audio is a guide track only. Final dialogue goes to `ai-voiceover`, captions to `captions-and-clipping`, and a human assembles and reviews the result. WoopSocial handles scheduling and publishing. Ask for production dialogue and the skill points you at veo-3; ask for edit-grade control and it sends you to `runway`.

Consent is a hard gate. Motion Control and Avatar work only on your own, licensed or consenting performers — transferring a real person's motion or face without permission is refused. AI disclosure is mandatory. One more thing worth knowing: Kling's physics marketing oversells. Crowds, fluids and hands come out unreliable, so keep crowds to 5 or fewer and check the output yourself.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill kling -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/kling/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/kling/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill kling -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/kling/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill kling -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/kling/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install social-media-skills/skills kling
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/kling/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill kling -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/social-media-skills/skills --path skills/kling
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/kling/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill kling -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/social-media-skills/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/kling/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a multi-shot sequence with several cuts in one clip
- transfer a dance or motion from a reference video onto another subject
- animate a product still into a short clip
- render a clip in native 4K/60fps
- keep a character's identity consistent across shots with references

## Example prompts
- Make a 4-cut multi-shot clip: the hero walks into a cafe, grabs a coffee, sits by the window, smiles.
- Transfer the motion from this reference video onto our character — the performer has consented.
- Animate this sneaker photo into a 4K clip with the camera orbiting around it.

# kling

The **4K / multi-shot / motion-transfer** generative-video producer — the resolution-and-motion
counterpart to **veo-3** (all-round + production audio) and **luma** (HDR/mood) under the
**ai-video** router; edit-grade control jobs go to `runway`. It briefs 4K, multi-shot, motion-driven clips; Kling renders; a human assembles
(adding final audio via ai-voiceover); WoopSocial schedules/publishes.

## The POV: pick Kling for 4K, multi-shot, and motion — not audio or physics
Reach for Kling for **native 4K/60fps**, a **multi-shot sequence** (up to 6 connected cuts in one
clip via its AI Director), its unique **Motion Control** (transfer motion from a reference video to
another subject), strong **image-to-video**, and **lower cost**. It's **not** the pick for
production-grade dialogue/audio (that's **veo-3** — Kling audio is ~3/5) or edit-control/consistency
(that's `runway`), and its **"physics" marketing oversells**
(crowds, fluids, hands are unreliable).

## Read these first
1. **brand-profile** — look, audience, non-negotiables.
2. **voice-builder** — so the shot and any narration fit the brand.

## The framework: CUTS
(Depth: `references/the-cuts-framework.md`.)
- **C — Compose the shots:** Multi-Shot AI Director (up to 6 cuts, ~15s, auto-continuity); introduce
  characters/props up front.
- **U — Use motion:** describe dynamic motion; **Motion Control** to transfer motion from a consented
  reference video; state in-frame text explicitly.
- **T — Tie identity with references:** image-to-video (Kling's strongest mode); lock identity with
  reference images/video / Elements.
- **S — Scale resolution & ship:** native 4K/60fps when needed; **audio = guide track → ai-voiceover**;
  keep crowds ≤5; verify physics/hands; **Draft Mode** to iterate cheap.
