## What it does

The skill teaches an agent to author `content_and_design.md`: one file holding the reader path, spread roles, typed content blocks and art direction. It starts from the publication scenario — who reads it, on what occasion, whether they skim or study, roughly how many pages, how it is bound, and which lines must survive untouched. From there it builds the document skeleton, tagging spreads as opening, feature, text-heavy, gallery or closing. Then comes the inventory: each block gets a stable id and a role, whether that is a display headline, a deck, body copy with a word budget, a pull quote with attribution, a sidebar, a figure with caption and credit, a table, or a contact strip.

Step two converts the blueprint into a `.K2F` document and exports IDML. That part runs on the **k2f** core skill, so install it first: `npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f`. K2F keeps the agent on meaning — stories, figures, hierarchy roles — while the engine compiles layout and typography into an editable handoff.

Several constraints are hard. Prices, trademarks, disclaimers and legal lines come only from the user's sources; the skill flags a gap instead of filling it. One block, one role, so a spread never carries three headline-sized lines. Word budgets cap body copy per spread, and overflow moves to the next spread or a sidebar rather than shrinking type. Figures and their captions are locked as pairs on the same spread.

## When to use it

## Purpose

## Workflow

### Step 1. Generate the content_and_design.md.

One blueprint merging **reader path**, **page/spread roles**, **typed content blocks**, and **design intent** the engine can interpret. Use labeled sections; map spreads later in k2f.
