## What it does

The skill instructs agents to author a `content_and_design.md` blueprint for conference guides, festival booklets, and stage run-of-show documents. It handles verified rooms, speaker lineups, and sponsor categories while filtering out flyer clutter, speaker resumes, or slide decks. The primary goal is fast wayfinding for attendees who need to find their next room quickly.

Information is structured across four specific tiers: a glance layer for the cover, a scannable grid for tracks and times, reading sections for brief panel notes, and reference matter like maps or codes of conduct. Concurrent tracks receive synchronized time spines and explicit track keys, while closed sessions stay separated without leaking door lists.

This skill depends on the core `k2f` package to build the `.K2F` archive and render the output PDF. Run `npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f` beforehand, or the agent can draft the semantic blueprint but cannot compile the visual output.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f-event-program -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/k2f-event-program/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f-event-program -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f-event-program -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install suzheng/k2f k2f-event-program
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f-event-program -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/suzheng/k2f --path skills/events/k2f-event-program
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f-event-program -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/suzheng/k2f/tree/HEAD/skills/events/k2f-event-program/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- structure multi-track conference schedules around a synchronized time spine
- draft festival booklets and run-of-show agendas for print or PDF
- isolate official social events from restricted invite-only gatherings
- generate content_and_design.md blueprints for the K2F compiler

## Example prompts
- Generate a two-day conference program from schedule.csv with tracks aligned by time
- Build a content_and_design.md booklet blueprint for our weekend festival
- Format the gala run-of-show and sponsor list into an attendee PDF draft

# K2F Event Program — AI-Native Aesthetic Design

## Purpose

Teach agents to author `content_and_design.md` for **published attendee programs**: content selection, wayfinding layers, and aesthetic intent (register, hierarchy, density, tracks)—not K2F packaging.

## Built on K2F

This skill produces event programs as `.K2F` packages. Follow the **k2f** skill for authoring: unpack or init a workspace, edit the semantic tree, pack/verify, and export. K2F keeps agents on *meaning* (days, slots, sessions, social occasions, sponsors)—not pixel coordinates—while the engine compiles layout, typography, and theme into consistent output.

Before you build, install the core skill: `npx skills add suzheng/k2f --skill k2f`.

## When to Use

- Conferences, festivals, galas, ceremonies, or performances where guests **carry or scroll a schedule** live.
- Print booklets, folds, or digital PDFs—not posters, invitations, VIP playbooks, or slide exports.
- When times, rooms, and **official** social occasions are decided or marked draft.

## Workflow

### Step 1. Generate the content_and_design.md

One blueprint pairing **publishable facts** with **design intent**. Document the programme; do not re-decide hospitality, VIP qualification, or grid placement—only what badgeholders should see.

**Sub-steps**

1. **Program lock** — Identity, dates, venue, audience, channel (print fold, booklet, digital), and **guest job**: find the next room in seconds. Note draft vs final; label gaps.

2. **Publish boundary** — Classify user inputs:
   - **Main grid**: keynotes, sessions, breaks, meals—clock spine only.
   - **Official social slate**: occasions the event runs; each row needs slot, place, **access line** (open, ticketed, family-inclusive, alcohol-free—in user terms).
   - **Invitation-only**: only if approved for publication—“invitation only,” no lists, door rules, or rank markers.
   - **Third-party events**: off-program or “permitted,” not on the official slate unless the user says so.

3. **Attendee layers** — Four tiers:
