## What it does

This skill takes Gary Vaynerchuk's framework and applies it to your portfolio. Jabs are build-in-public and educational posts, the value. Hooks are promo, the ask. Keep the feed mostly jabs and the hooks earn attention when they land.

Your portfolio lives in `~/.config/makerskills/jab-hook/properties.yaml`, one rotation slot per project. The target rhythm is about two promo posts a week, so each project cycles roughly every three weeks at equal weight. Non-promo days split 50/50 between build-in-public and educational. Four modes drive it: `plan` for a 7-day plan, `pick-next` for a single post, `audit` for a coverage report, `draft` for a specific post. The skill picks the mode from your phrasing and asks if it's ambiguous.

Drafts land in your personal Typefully workspace over MCP. On the first run you call the server's `list-social-sets`, pick the set that spans X and LinkedIn, and save the ID to `~/.config/makerskills/jab-hook/typefully.yaml`. Do not keep that file inside the skill folder — upgrades wipe it and you lose the setup. Links never go in the body: for LinkedIn they become a first comment, for X a reply, and the body stands on its own.

# /jab-hook — Jab-jab-jab-right-hook for a personal portfolio

Gary Vaynerchuk's framework applied to your configured portfolio: keep the feed mostly *jabs* (value — BIP + educational) so the *hooks* (promo) earn attention when they land. Drafts to your personal Typefully workspace.

**One-time setup**: see `references/properties.md` and `references/typefully-config.md` to configure your real portfolio + workspace. Personal config lives in `${MAKERSKILLS_CONFIG:-$HOME/.config/makerskills}/jab-hook/`.

## Mental model

- **N rotation slots** (configured in `~/.config/makerskills/jab-hook/properties.yaml`): one per property you want to promote on rotation
- **~2 promo posts/week** → each property cycles every ~3 weeks at equal weight
