## What it does

The skill prepares declared scope, controlled documents, risk-management files, CAPA, traceability, and scope of accreditation for medical-device and laboratory standards — ISO 13485 (medical device QMS), ISO 14971 (device risk management), ISO/IEC 17025 (testing and calibration laboratories), ISO 15189 (medical laboratories). Bundled Python CLIs work only with local JSON and Markdown files, no network access or credentials.

This is not an audit or certification. The skill prepares materials for authorized human review: management representative, laboratory director, quality manager. It does not determine compliance, replace a certification body or accreditation body, or make decisions about device classification or regulatory applicability. ISO and IEC standard texts are copyrighted — you need to purchase them separately; the skill contains no clause text.

Requires Python 3.11+. Reference files for each standard live in `references/`, including current editions (ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14971:2019, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ISO 15189:2022), certification versus accreditation distinctions, and boundaries between ISO, FDA QMSR, MDSAP, and EU MDR.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --skill iso-standards-readiness -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/iso-standards-readiness/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/iso-standards-readiness/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --skill iso-standards-readiness -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/iso-standards-readiness/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --skill iso-standards-readiness -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/iso-standards-readiness/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills iso-standards-readiness
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/iso-standards-readiness/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --skill iso-standards-readiness -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --path skills/iso-standards-readiness
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/iso-standards-readiness/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills --skill iso-standards-readiness -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- structure controlled documents for ISO 13485 medical device QMS
- collect risk-management evidence for ISO 14971
- prepare scope of accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189 laboratories
- organize traceability, CAPA, and external-provider control records
- separate ISO certification, laboratory accreditation, and FDA/MDSAP inspection boundaries

## Example prompts
- Prepare declared scope documentation structure for ISO 13485
- Review ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation readiness evidence
- Build controlled documents and risk files manifest for ISO 14971

# ISO Standards Readiness Evidence Preparation

## Purpose

Use this skill to organize declared scope, controlled documents, implementation
records, traceability, and readiness evidence for substantive human review against a
named standard. It summarizes process workflows and provides deterministic local
checks. It contains no clause text and performs no audit.

`SKILL.md` holds the boundary, lane discipline, shared evidence workflow, and CLI
contract. Per-standard preparation details live in `references/`.

## Non-negotiable boundary

This skill cannot:

- certify or accredit anything, issue or validate a certificate, accreditation
  schedule, or licence, or promise an audit, assessment, or inspection result;
- determine legal/regulatory applicability, device classification, reportability,
  conformity route, product authorization, market access, licensure, personnel
  qualification, or compliance;
- replace authorized management, the management representative, laboratory director,
  quality manager, authorized signatory, RA/QA, legal counsel, regulatory/competent
